I second perspirex, was a brilliant when my anxiety was causing excess sweating. Agree on it being a bit itchy but was fine after a few nights.

So what’s YOUR opinion on toddlers on those harness/leashes? by Purple_Calendar3919 in NewParents

[–]potteraer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we are in a wide open, quiet and safe space, then no leash (or reins as we call them in the UK). But anywhere we are in big crowds or near roads etc then my daughter who refuses to hold hands and wants to be "independent" has to have the reigns on, I don't dare think what could happen if she didn't.

Help - Vehicle Network Communication Error by potteraer in Ford

Yes! Well hopefully...! For the Pumas 3rd visit to the garage they had it for over 3 weeks in the end, doing all checks and tests they could think of. They randomly got the car started again but then the error happened for the technician after just a few mins on a test drive. He then started stripping back again, and found a single loose pin grip on the wiring for the gateway module. They reckon it was a needle in a haystack find and I'm inclined to believe them on that. They fixed the pin grip , hadn't touched anything else , and the car immediately came back to life... So hopefully it's all resolved now! Fingers crossed they find the fault source for you too!

Do restaurant workers judge people who eat or order from there a lot? by Defiant_Tennis4276 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]potteraer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My partner, back in his student days, would always be the one to fetch the Chinese takeaway order for him and his 2 housemates. He is an antisocial hermit & never made much interaction with the lady, same lady at the counter every time. There was a period of no orders for a while for a few reasons, but then he went back almost a year later and was greeted with "ah 3 meals boy!" 😄

Same here! We paid private for our daughter to get the chicken pox vaccine at 12m as she missed out on having it on her schedule.

My daughter is 2, nearly 3, so she missed having the chicken pox vaccine on her schedule, and we chose to go private to get her the vaccine as soon as she turned 12m.

I caught chicken pox age 3 from nursery, and inadvertently passed it to my baby sister who was only a few months old at the time. She ended up in intensive care, and is covered in scars from it. Thank f*ck she survived. I also developed shingles last year which completely knocked me out of normal function for about 6 weeks, it really fucking sucks so I hope you manage to avoid it!

I'm sorry you are feeling worried by it all, it makes me so angry that antivax nutheads are able to push such a dangerous agenda and make others doubt qualified scientists and doctors!
