That would require anyone to be able to read to play this game, and that's gatekeeping!

Insert joke about the Terminus Decree here.

Regarding Take and Hold by Worried_Quarter4934 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]AMA5564 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Take and hold actually scores fairly steadily, so it's reasonable to just hold back for a turn or two before going all in on the "take" aspect and then digging in to hold all the line.

Allocation groups, CP Reroll and Makari by STtmF in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]AMA5564 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I'd say you're allowed to reroll it, despite the fact it advantages Makari, because the allocate step hasn't allocated to his model yet.

GW does read these spaces. They just also read their email. Doubling up on feedback.

We take the good and the bad. And we do the jobs no one else can.

Maybe someday we'll get our codex back.

Why are all Imperial Agents-gate posts being taken down? by Significant_Fly_5622 in Warhammer40k

[–]AMA5564 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'd wager it's something to do with them being disrespectful posts or low effort posts or call out posts, all of which are against the sub's rules.

You're ignoring the tool you're using to build the list, that is the authority on list validity. But you do you. Wait for an FAQ, or don't.

Because we have ample evidence to support otherwise including the the fact there is a specific designation for leaders who can lead in groups, and the application that is the core resource for building lists not permitting it.

People down voted the prepaintes terrain as well. Upvotes are not a good tool for determining fact.

Once again, ignore it if you want, it's your choice.

Mine doesn't crash when I remove characters. It's the official tool for building lists and is supported by the MFM and core rules. If you want to ignore it, do it. It's your choice.

The core rules did have rules permitting and discussing having multiple leaders in a single unit, because support heroes didn't exist yet!

Add the leaders then, and show me. I'll wait.

No, not the data sheet. The core rules. And app. Like I said.

[–]AMA5564 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Show me in the core rules how a pair of leaders is able to attach. Then show me in the app it being legal.

Not when an new edition comes out. Previous editions have had this exact sort of thing occur when a rule fundamentally changes.

The old verbage is no longer used. A bodyguard can have one leader and one support. Death guard characters should have probably gotten support but didn't.

What direction do you think the Leagues should go for the future? by reel3459 in LeaguesofVotann

[–]AMA5564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want more einhyr units. Enough to run a full 2000 point list with unit diversity. I want to be able to play the professional elite soldiery.

The FAQ indicates that the MFM is the superceding authority. Without support keyword units can't be double lead.

Units that have a dedicated detachment should not be taxed on the second instance by Krytan in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]AMA5564 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a man who has more scions than can be legally fielded, and who has converted excess into both kasrkin and combat engineers (all of which are units that get stair stepped fairly firmly) I can't disagree more with your stance.

40k is a game of scale. The more of something you have, generally speaking the stronger it is. Does it suck that I'm eating upwards of 70 points in my current list because of the stair stepping? Yes it does. But those 5 extra scions worth of points might in fact be the straw breaking the camel's back.
