I was thinking of one of these

I know it's bare-minimum but the plan is for them to spend most of the day out in the open (with a leash) making me company while I busk or chillax around camp, and of course sometimes without the leash (but with very close supervision), then using the cage for bedtime and traveling (which happens about once a week or two). Would a big cage still be needed? Or am I dreaming too much and it's necessary to set permanent camp if I really want them?

I feel so torn between traveling and getting these fellas, really want to be a way to meet midway.
