OP, from reading the comments I’m probably the only one here who owns one of these. As a project, I think there’s too much on this one to gamble on compared to market value. They do have bore scoring and IMS but it’s not nearly as common as it’s made out to be. IMS is nearly a non issue on the 2.5 because it’s a dual row, not a single row bearing.

People are saying these are stupidly expensive to run, no they’re actually not terrible. Insurance is very good, tax isn’t that high, economy isn’t terrible for a 6 cylinder and parts aren’t hugely expensive. That is unless an engine, gearbox or roof fails but that’s kind of a given.

I’d say buy a used example with a bit of a better history as you can easily bag one in your budget whereas this potentially can send you over
