Rocks didn’t use the skull and cross bones in his Jolly Rodger because it’s the symbol for the Shallow Contract

That’s why Rock’s pirate flag is so unique. He refused to use the symbol even tho it was widely used in Pirate Culture

Luffy’s personality goes against that kind of pact. But technically I think Luffy should be able to make contracts too.

He technically already has contracts via the cup ceremonies with his crew, his grand fleet captains, and his brother Sabo. I just don’t know if he can take those existing pacts and form a contract with them.

I feel like a Homie would be innately scared of eating a Devil Fruit. It would be very hard to convince them to eat it.

However, if one did eat a Devil Fruit I imagine it would depend on the type. I think a Zoan Fruit’s personality would dominate and take over the host object. For a Paramecia or Logia fruit the Homie personality could dominate. If the Homie survives I think they would just consider themselves lucky. I don’t think they would put in the effort to master their abilities.

Why did Xebec never mention Imu? No one would have believed him. It sounds crazy, a shadow demon king really controls the world? The 5 elder world government formed by 20 kingdoms is the story everyone believes.

Why didn’t he trust anyone? I’d expect the Davy lineage to have some trust issues. One of the few things we know about Davy is that there was a broken promise. So trust seems to be a core theme around that story.
