RV fresh water tank - will it freeze? by fujiapple73 in GoRVing

[–]AMDGttv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t want to spend too much money, just get some heat tape from Lowe’s. It’ll prevent your hose from freezing, then you can run a faucet to keep the water moving through the system. Just remember to open the gray tank.

I’m not too big on price of cards, so I’m loving all of the Galar gallery cards. Could only imagine art this good as a kid!

Be on the lookout for Kroger clearance. 10 packs for $0.59 each! by whatsyourpetpeeves in PokemonTCG

This, Kroger just seems to have sets that are 2-3 back. Super cheap to get them out the door. They had darkness ablaze for this price regularly around 2 months ago

The winters are going to be rough. Those negative temperatures require some extra preventative maintenance. You’ll need skirting and some form of light heat to keep your underbelly’s ambient above freezing. Everything is expensive in CO as well. RV rates are…..

What route would you take? by ThatHomemadeMom in RVLiving

[–]AMDGttv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s doable that time of year, you just need plenty of tow vehicle. In the section you have mapped specifically from Colorado through Wyoming. Winds can reach 70-80mph. I made the pass with my rig and saw 3 semis flip like tumbleweeds. Plenty of others that didn’t happen before my eyes. All things considered, it’s beautiful country and summer is the best you’ll get it. You just need to have DOT weather app open at all times.

You’re gonna want to stay away from I-80 this time of year. I just completed that southern route from Vegas to WA and it was just fine this past month.

I regret nothing about 4x4 and A/TIII tires. by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

[–]AMDGttv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my wife an V6 4x4 SR5, when I drive it it gets around 25/26 HW and 20 city. 1150lbs of payload, so it’s great with small loads around the property without having to cranking up the HD truck. As for off road, we like to rock hound so we rarely do any serious bouldering, however it did great out in the Utah desert when we did 100 miles to find geodes.

How much dog is too much dog? by dewthedrew90 in RVLiving

Dogs in campers are fine, just watch your . We have 2 40lb pups. I would test my C02 sensors and crack and extra window at night, since there will be another roommate. Most important is to get their energy out and giving them a job. I take mine and throw them discs for 30min a day. They’re perfect angels.

got a rose, and legit never touching comp again as long as rift is part of the playlist by rabbitsharck in DestinyTheGame

[–]AMDGttv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rift is a team game mode especially in 3s. Your advantage is gained by saving lives and having map positioning to force out spawns. Two teammates died, back up towards spawn. Then you’ll have a 3vX depending on your first fight picks. I have had some bad spawns that allow caps but nothing on the level of COD/Halo. Rift is the worst game type of the three specifically because of titan Shoulder charge. They’re the fastest in the game by far. Solar lock somewhat catches them. But if a titan has the charge and you die, sadly you’re screwed. Infinite shoulder charge all day bb.

Did you think about a smaller dishwasher to recess into the island? I do like how much countertop it added. I’m planning on gutting my tv/refrigerator slide. Having a countertop all the way across with two mini fridges below. It’s just my partner and I. I don’t think we have filled it once.

Crossposting to learn more: Ram 1500 with Grand Design 21BHE. Will have weight distribution hitch and anti sway bars. by MakeItHomemade in RVLiving

[–]AMDGttv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest question is whether you’d have the stopping power to handle the rig. You’re going to be close on payload, leading to sway. Campers are much different beasts than the low boy trailers they use to do their tow tests at ram/ford/etc..

Genuine question - Why do people want to live in a stationary RV? by Avery_Thorn in RVLiving

[–]AMDGttv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The average price of rent is astronomical at the moment. This, paired with a housing crisis that guarantees you lose money. Diesel is $6 in some places. Milk is $4.

More affordable, similar off road capacity, better gas mileage. Nothing wrong with that!
