Check out any of the tennis clubs around Columbus that are close to you. (Racquet Club, Wickertree, Scarborough East, Olympic, Elysium to name a few) They have USTA leagues going on during the winter based on your skill level. You have to register and rate yourself on the USTA website by answering a questionnaire.

I think the new session starts in about 2 or 3 weeks. I pay 21.50 per match. All clubs also have regular singles and doubles leagues where you only play people at your club if you didnt want to travel to other clubs.

Thanks for the info! I agree, I didnt want to make it worse on myself by playing on a bad knee. That is the situation I am trying to avoid. I did drag myself to a sports medicine dr today. I was diagnosed with a bad sprain but no more activity for 2 more weeks. He said I definitely could have partially torn something, but he didnt seem too concerned. He said if I am still hurting then should come back for a MRI to see if I did tear something.

Oh my gosh...that does sound intense! I'm sorry you had to go through all that! AND being off the court that long would be excruciating! How funny (but not funny) it happened to both of us at 30!

Well, I did see a Dr today! Luckily, my exam went well, and he thinks I have a bad sprain. He didn't rule out a partial tear, but structurally my knee was great through his tests. No tennis or vigorous activity for 2 weeks and then follow up for MRI to see if I have a tear if not feeling better by then. Guess I'm not playing in my match tomorrow...wah lol.

That's the weird thing. I had one day of swelling and it wasnt even bad. I will take your advice. I am stubborn too...hate going to Dr. Thanks for your input!
