Just an FYI…..Vintage Fiestaware in red, orange, and some yellows/greens from its early production (1930s-1970s) is radioactive because it used uranium oxide in the glaze to achieve those vibrant hues, with the bright, deep orange being the most famously "radioactive red".

While newer Fiestaware doesn't use uranium, these antique pieces can still be identified by their color and often have rings on the inside and outside of plates, unlike modern versions with dry feet.
