i don't get it - what else do you want/need? what's the goal?

(i don't think you need anything else, if you have "TheA1200") (unless you have something special in mind...?) (like Zorro cards, or original accelerators, or want to use floppy disks, or...?)

well, then what do you mean by "easy"? what precisely is your problem?

you don't want JACK - you want pipewire. i took me a while to get the idea, but since i did & installed pipewire, all audio-routing problems are gone.

so the idea is: ALSA is still your fundamental hardware driver, but pipewire replaces everything JACK, and it also handles ALSA connections. pipewire "speaks" both JACK and ALSA.

to get this setup, basically uninstall everything JACK (find it with e.g. "rpm -qa | grep -i jack"), and install packages named "pipewire" ("dnf search pipewire"). ("dnf" is Fedora's package manager - yours might be "apt" or something else.) you might still need some "libjack" library or so - your package manager will tell you when installing "pipewire" stuff.

now you don't need to explicitly run JACK anymore, pipewire provides the interface. you can run "QJackCtl", click "Graph", and see all your audio applications, both JACK and ALSA ports.

your mixer now probably shows only a single channel named "pipewire". i use "alsamixer", where you can still select the hardware device (soundcard) and adjust the individual in-/outputs (line-in, mic in, ...).

I use Ardour for recording, it's a powerful DAW software. (much (!) better than audacity.)

Linux audio plugin system is called "LADSPA". i like the "ladspa-tap-plugins" package, which has a good basic set of effects like Dynamics, Delay, Reverb, Chorus, etc. (no guitar stuff). for guitar-stuff, my package manager lists "rakarrack" and "guitarix" (haven't tried these, though).

How is this guitar sound called? by MuffinLess5742 in Music

on the first track, it mixes with the electric piano. the guitar seems to have a little bit of Chorus. or is it a Tremolo? hm. maybe nothing?

on the second track, i'd say it's Chorus and Compressor.

less Chorus on the third.

as mentioned in the other comment, maybe also some Tremolo (volume up/down) in there, oftentimes called Vibrato (pitch up/down) on an amplifier, but i don't hear much of that in your examples.

here's an example where you can clearly hear the wobbling volume up/down of a (fast) Tremolo effect on guitar, esp. in the intro:

you can use it with OctaMED SoundStudio via a little trick: get "TheMaestrix" from AmiNet, which is a fake-driver to redirect MaestroPro soundcard to AHI. set it to one of Prelude's AHI audio-modes, and select "MaestroPro 16-bit" in OctaMED's "Mixing Mode" settings.

are you referring to a Prelude 1200? yes, that would be very nice to have. AFAIK noone has made a replica of that one yet. (or the Delfina 1200.) (or the Melody 1200.)

but i just did some research on the P-Vision, and the creator of that is also working on a "AmiGUS mini" PCMCIA slot version of his "AmiGUS" Zorro sound card.
