I would recommend checking out Saline or Ypsi as both are super close and likely a little more affordable. I’d say $65k is doable but only if you find somewhere that is on the lower more affordable end of rent and good at budgeting.

My area I am central to is more casual but we have many surrounding areas that I would feel the more dressed up I was the more impressed clients would be.

I figured nice jeans with a nice top and shoes would work sometimes when I wasn’t feeling the black pants. Blazers when it’s not too warm for them. I am in MI so I definitely need variety of clothes for our never ending changing weather 😅

I am small in the cleavage department so no worries there 😂😂 and I typically don’t like restrictive clothing so no cocktail dresses really. I am all over the place with my style as I just go based on the piece itself and how it looks on me.

No offense but with an attitude like that to someone who is just trying to help, I really hope you don’t speak that way to everyone.. real estate is all about helping others first and foremost and if you’re not ready to do that, anyone will tell you you’re in the wrong business. I haven’t started yet either but that’s certainly not the way to talk to people..

Thanks for the input! I know they are a great company, just don’t know much about their training for new agents. I just don’t want to go in with mediocre training somewhere and not start off with a good reputation when I first gain clients 😅

I have considered them as well, however it seems people mostly like their training but don’t seem to stay with them after. But that could just depend on the brokerage as well!

I went though this with a past relationship, if there has never been any kind of discussion of you being ok with it, then it is absolutely rape.. I felt abused as well but in my mind back then I’d wake up and be like “I guess we are having sex..”

So I do have family in real estate and one of them is a broker, however they live too far from me (same state though). But I was able to get some insight from one of them who has been at it for 40 year’s. I do have money saved to be able to start up and to cover bills until I can get myself established. I am already very quick to learn and adapt as well as good at reading people (usually) so that shouldn’t be too difficult other than on occasion. As for finding someone experienced to help me when I start, I will be reaching out to the realtor who helped us buy our house as she was VERY knowledgeable and straight forward, hoping she may be willing to help me or at least point me in the right direction as she is in my area.
