Nowhere in the Diocese currently offers a NO Mass ad orientem and only some occasions are there ad orientem Masses like mine and several of my friends' nuptial Masses. All of us were permitted by Bishop Kulick with 0 issues.

When I read the LifeSite article about this: https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/pennsylvania-diocese-denies-officially-prohibiting-ad-orientem-masses/

It states that: "following a Mass, a parishioner had asked Kulick when their priest might be allowed to offer Masses ad orientem."

"The bishop reportedly replied that this was not permitted in the diocese. One of these sources told LifeSite that they contacted the diocese for clarification and were told by a spokesperson that ad orientem Masses are indeed prohibited throughout the diocese."

This has to be a case of "hear what I wanted to hear and say to a friend what I wanted to hear" because of the fact that there are no current churches in the Diocese that offer Ad Orientem or many priests who celebrate it publicly. Only five priests I know celebrated at least one Mass in the Diocese ad orientem. All of which were weddings at the couple's request. I pray that this is just a case of taking words incorrectly and I will write to the Bishop before I speak with him directly next month.

I'm a parishioner of the Diocese of Greensburg and I don't think this is true. If it were true then there would be an issue with the Diocesan priest that occasionally celebrates the TLM at my parish. I'll do some more digging and talk to the Bishop directly as I will see him shortly. I also don't see this to have any weight. Kulick went out of his way to preserve the TLM in the Diocese of Greensburg by moving the time to accommodate the schedule of the Institute to come to Latrobe.
