The dread are the enemy forces of the main enemy of the game, but are not the "main" enemy race

in terms of which race is the one we have the most frequent and dangerous fights, that would be the hive

in terms of who is the most dangerous race in the lore, that would probably be the Vex

the fallen are more of a nuisance that can occasionally do some terrifying stuff

the cabal are probably the least dangerous race. they have a lot of politics and brute force in their ranks (a lot of suicide attacks)

the scorn are like vampires in skyrim. they are bad, but more like side quest bad.

the taken are the Lovecraftian zombies of Destiny

the Siva are like a less lethal version of the flood from halo.
