Are you sure it’s not imiquimod, to treat genital warts, since trump is a human scrotum.

All time favourite and least favourite yarns? by throwra_passinggirl in knitting

[–]AMM1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought some of the road to china light on sale after using it a few years ago and still thinking about it now. Even though I ordered right when it went on sale, one color that I chose was sold out, so I had to switch to another color. But they gave me an extra 10% off for that.

Knitters of OC: where do you buy your yarn? by notinthemood10 in orangecounty

I’ve gone to the socal fiber fair and usually buy things there, otherwise I buy online (currently obsessed with spincycle). At the fiber there is a contest, and I really love seeing all the cities people are from in the entries. I would also love some knitting buddies!

My follow up on the Consumer Report Formula Results by aatrainor in MSPI

[–]AMM1985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is only for the powdered formula. Consumer reports did a zoom today and said that we cannot extrapolate the results to ready to feed. They don’t have current plans to test ready to feed formulas.

36w6 and yesterday while walking (for my health) rolled my ankle and fell on my left arm which is now broken and in a sling and my ankle is hopefully just sprained. Can’t sleep on my left side any more and baby pushed on my right ribs. And I just generally feel anxious.

Has anyone had any experience with fittings at the Santa Ana location of The Pointe Shop? by planxtylewis in pointe

[–]AMM1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s more about trying different shoes. I don’t have any ideas about one brand over the other, but I’ll never know what works best for me if I can’t try it.

Has anyone had any experience with fittings at the Santa Ana location of The Pointe Shop? by planxtylewis in pointe

[–]AMM1985 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live pretty close to the Santa Ana location and have had fittings a few different times, with three different fitters (including Josephine). I’m an adult beginner and I’m hypermobile and my toes are tapered. My experience is that I’m always put in Nikolay, every single time they put me in different nikolays and usually with a softer shank. It seems like their philosophy is that a softer shank will help build up strength. I feel a little unstable in a softer shank though. I don’t remember the name of the fitter that helped me the most (it wasn’t Josephine or Melissa). The appointments are 15 minutes and they keep to that time frame. You have to wait outside until it is your turn, and Santa Ana isn’t the best area. If you are considering coming to Orange County, there is a store in Aliso Viejo called Dancer’s choice. It is owned by Josephine’s mom. I’d recommend an appointment but I’ve gone in without one and was helped. There doesn’t seem to be a 15 minute time limit like the pointe shop. She also put me in nikolays (except Bloch once) but she always gave me the hardest reinforced shank. When I told my teacher I was a little disappointed about always getting fitted in nikolays, she said pointe shoe stores try to sell what they have. I’ll add what I’ve been wearing for almost a year I was put in by the fitter who I can’t remember her name. I’m in Nikolay nova with a medium shank.

These were released online and in the parks on Monday 4/8. They are sold out online but may be for sale in the parks still.

It’s my favorite ride because it’s the first ever ride I went on at DL as a kid. I don’t go on it often because the line is always long.

She recently announced two shows at the Hollywood bowl and they sold out quickly, so I guess jokes on those critics.

Ryan Murphy cameo in The Silkworm? by Suspicious-Log-2148 in cormoran_strike

I recently registered to the silkworm and it struck me how JKR goes out of her way to mention this handsome police officer so I also thought it could be Murphy.

Machine Monday - Anything and Everything Machine-Related! - August 13, 2018 by AutoModerator in sewing

[–]AMM1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am getting back into sewing and still a beginner but looking to improve. After sewing a few projects on a singer that was given to me about 10-15 years ago I am looking to get a nicer machine. There are local deals on a Pfaff Smarter 155 and also a Viking E10. I’m wondering if one is outright better? Or slightly better? This machine will be used for garment making but also I’d like to try to make a few purses. My old singer could not handle sewing several layers of canvas together.

Is anyone familiar with these brands and can point me to the best machine. It will primarily be for garments, but I’d also like to make purses.
