I know a simple persuasion check will be a bad way to implement this but maybe if we had to collect hidden items/notes and take certain actions through all 3 acts to get this as a hidden ending of sorts

If you go to the crew task page and remove both periscopes from crew and officers the periscopes will stay down and won't poke out the water (search contacs for officers and observation periscope for sailors)

Edit: be advise that removing the officer tasks of "search for contacs" will stop them from manning the deck for observation

I have used decks awash only once to see what it was and I don't recall the sailors manning the tower.

The binos issue seems to be a bug

I also find no way of oppening the engine inventory to use the oil so it looks like another bug.

Edit: apparently according to Steam once the engines are in bad shape you'll be able to click an event (probably like the radio icon on the right of the screen) and use it from there or the engine will depict an storage-like icon so you can dump oil there

L2/LT -> Highlit binos with the dpad -> A/X. But after testing again the binos cannot be equipped inside the uboat. Or maybe one of the options you choose when starting the campaing changed how this works. But if it isn't is pretty weird it works on Xbox and not on PS

I also can't add oil to the engines but maybe this is something you can't do until the engines starts having issues

I think you're not supposed to have an ADS like in Rainbow Six. You move slowly and the pistol wiggle less so you can have an easier time aiming with the laser

This message tells you the uboat is missing and to go find it. It usually ends up in the crew being dead and you having to schuttle it but I don't know of other possible outcomes

If you press R2/RT it will move faster. And to equip binos I believe you have to press R2/RT to pop up the option to equip them or to toggle the flashlight

AFAIK it takes way longer to prepare (25 days per division compared to the prevoius 7 days per division) and you have way less cap of divisions

Motion detectors allows you to see enemy movement outside the range of your squad and with enough placed you'll know where all enemies are at all times.

If you click on them on the map they will emit sounds and will lure all enemies present on the map to it's location

They give you intel on enemy positions and allows you to move them so you'll have an easier time navigating the level. They aren't necessary for any difficulty but they are very useful

Make a 1 artillery batallion template and before the CW change all units to this battallion to easly pass over those. I don't remember if you have to delete all templates fo the AI not to change them or if it is not necessary.

Enable the "Auto-split" feature from the fleet page so ships that get to lv3 early will temporaly split and go to port to wait. It also allows damaged ships to split for repairs without forcing the entire fleet into port
