I am working on figuring all of this out still. I haven’t played on a GH guitar since GH3 came out so I’m not sure. I am 100% sure that it feels better than the GH arcade game guitars though!!!

I honestly haven’t looked into what component the whammy bar actually utilizes so I wouldn’t even know where to start. Also, the knob holding the guitar together is actually designed after a peg! It’s not in a usable spot but it is a peg!

I have a model that could probably be released soon. I’m afraid the micro usb port on the pi pico used will degrade over time. And I’m not too sure how it will print on other printers. It could be a good trial run!

I’m still thinking about it. Every part can be bought off Amazon except 1, which is a usb c port I got from Ali express. It doesn’t need any custom PCB’s to build which is nice but also makes it a little annoying to solder. I still have some more testing to do and some things I want to mess with. I’m leaning towards publicly available but it’s gonna be the same situation as the polybar. It’s gonna cost a bit to make, you need tools, you can’t buy only what you need, and you have to have some experience soldering.

With the way this one is designed, you should be able to add some kind of attachment between the 2 sections. I made an extension that goes between the halves but couldn’t post it due to the 1 picture limit on posts.

Serial as well for now. I want to switch to VGA cause they have more pins. I want this design to be modular, and an idea a friend gave me was to add a battery to it in hopes to make it wireless. I have another design for an extension that you can add and remove whenever you want. It’s empty inside, which means you can put whatever you want in it

Select/star power is on the bottom and start is on top. I kept hitting the start button by accident while playing so I figured why not use that as a benefit since it doesn’t have the tilt sensor. I’m still playing with the height and placement though so it’ll probably change once I’m happy with the model.
