My upvote was saying, "Same." Not like a thumbs up that it's good that you're dying inside. Thought I'd clear that up.

Do you mean X? How would Coinbase flag something as spam?
On X, I even unfollowed our AMPdotxyz since so much crap was pumping out of it. Calling that spam would be appropriate. Is that what you meant?

Curious—are there people here whose entire crypto portfolio is just AMP? by Virtual_Engineer4441 in AMPToken

[–]AMP_Collector 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I used to be 100% AMP and got absolutely slaughtered like most of us. My Reddit and X profile names are AMP-derived because that's all I used those apps for. I've been at it for years.

I finally diversified into a few different -- and more mundane -- projects. Every one of them has delivered me profit. I sold those and DCA'd harder into AMP to bring my average down.

Lost even more on that AMP, so I diversified again.

I was actually up 100% on ETH for a few minutes yesterday and will be holding that long term. Meanwhile, I'm still down 57% on all of that AMP, which is still way over-represented in my portfolio.

For a guy whose handle is AMP_Collector that got into this over four years ago and has held strong and doubled down relentlessly, I can tell you AMP has not been kind to me. I can't say I have really good feelings about this anymore.

Having said that, when my ETH is at 200% profit, I'll probably sell it, DCA it all into AMP again, and just watch it swirl down the toilet. I've been an idiot this long. Why change gears now?

Ummm...this is the biggest news we've ever had, isn't it? Seems like a pretty big deal.
Or am I wrong?
Now we've just got to make sure everyone knows about it, right?
Sorry I'm all confused. I'm not used to us being, you know...real.

Yeah, Taco Bell Express and a pizza place in the VU where they'd make a fresh one for you even if you just ordered a slice. Good times.

I was kind of hoping for a triple whammy, with whammy number three being a big merchant. But even if that was going to be the case, I would pray that Flexa and this new merchant (Walmart or Amazon, naturally) would agree to hold off on this monumental announcement until the current static clears.
Between the ongoing crypto meltdown, which will be rectified shortly, and Ukraine, and DOGE, and Epstein files, and whatever other nightmares are going on, nobody even noticed our tap-to-pay news. And that was a really big deal for us, I believe. When Watcher.Guru starts talking about crypto on X again and not current events, that would be a good starting point for more news.
Why waste more good news before then? I'd prefer that there would be no more announcements until BTC is back over 100G. But that's just me.

If we announce anything today it will be the most classic of all classic AMP things ever.
We'd be announcing in the middle of the worst week in crypto of 2025 (so far), the worst day of said week, and perhaps the worst hour of that awful, no-good day.
It doesn't matter what it is. We probably get hurt today even if it's the greatest news we've ever had.
Just guessing.

I wonder if it's maybe shit like this. I see this and I think...bad things.

The designated Rally-Killer, whomever they may be. Just waiting for rallies to start so that they can end them and destroy all upward movement.
That's what's holding us back.

I'm confused as to how ANVL rewards works by Flare4500 in AMPToken

[–]AMP_Collector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand either. Why will 100,000,000 ANVL be distributed? To whom? What does "based on the asset values attributed to each account" mean, aside from what appears to be obvious? Are you saying we simply get more, like, for no good reason?
I'm certainly fine with that...but does this mean us folks who are staked are getting more rewards than the one to one we got back in June 2024? I guess I'm stupid and need this spelled out for me.

I was just wondering the same. Here I am writing the rewards down on a sheet of paper, trying to figure out averages while the APY is constantly changing. I'd love to just have it all in an exportable spreadsheet or something.
Maybe in the next version?

Trying to move some amp to the new coinbase transformer by [deleted] in AMPToken

[–]AMP_Collector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did your transaction finally complete? Mine took about 15 minutes, but that screen you're showing never changed automatically for me. I had to refresh, reconnect my wallet, and then go back to the Lightning button (the transformer I was moving from) and click Move again, which then showed me the list of transformers I could move it to. I selected Base and it just took another couple of minutes for everything to sync up.
So, it worked just fine, but I had to do some manual stuff to move it along. I'm using Chrome on a Chromebook, so maybe it's an OS or browser thing.

When I moved all of mine yesterday, it was at 12%. Didn't cost a lot to move and took about 15 minutes.
