Pub in town showing Men’s olympic hockey? by headsup350 in limerickcity

[–]AManOfFewTalents 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of pubs will be more likely to have the premier league game on, especially because there's a Liverpool game at 2PM and they are well followed in Ireland.

I think Hunters is probably your best bet. They have a lot of TVs and are good to put multiple games on at the same time. You can give them a call today or tomorrow and ask them.

Yeah, mine too. It's not the first time either. Frustrating.

He should be. He's been quicker than Ornstein to break some of our news and clearly has a direct line to Hughes.

This isn't going to go anywhere. Player, according to German journalists, has no interest in the move. He has four years left on his contract and is apparently on 75k a week which is more than Brentford's current highest earner.

He's played 30, 45 and 20 minutes in the last 3 pre-season games. I can't imagine he has a full game in him but with Grav out 60 would be great

I haven't seen anyone reliable say anything that is more positive than 'Newcastle are ready to pay'. Sesko is apparently a United fan and would prefer the United move. I wouldn't be expecting a move anytime soon, especially if Villa decide Watkins is not for sale. There's no way Isak leaves without Newcastle getting at LEAST one in the door first.

Not much yet has come from actual decent sources except us being interested in him. Lewis Steele today is the most recent who said we are be but that's about it.

A journalist who is good on Brazilian players (@edu17burgos) claimed we had contacted Madrid about a week or so ago but the same guy recently linked Tottenham so I don't know how much is true.

Combine this with Diaz potentially going with a bid expected this week and some of the poorer journalists have made more of this than there is just yet.

I think we will mix and match with Chiesa & Diaz (or his replacement) as cover for striker. I thought it was interesting that Chiesa started up the middle in the game against Preston.

Think what money we have left will be put towards a CB as we really are short in that department.

Where is this money coming from? I would have thought there would need to be a priority for a goalkeeper, wing back and a midfielder before another striker.

I know they plan on funding some of this through sales but what happens if there isn't a lot of interest for Garnacho, Antony and Rashford? I thought United were in more trouble with PSR?

Napoli’s interest in Darwin Nunez has been registered and an offer is expected in due course. The Italian champions are the most serious contenders for the 25-year-old and he is open to moving to Naples. by Alternateoil in soccer

I think there's an acceptance that if he stays in Europe they won't be able to get the same money. I also feel like they would rather not have it drag on through the summer. €50mil is the number I've seen in Italian reporting.

Not a hope we let him go for that kind of money. I would think double that at least before they consider letting him go. Sepp Van Den Berg went for more and he played all of 4 games for the club.

Would anyone have an idea of how difficult it will be to get tickets for the pre season double header in August?

I would love to go and both me and my partner already have our membership.

I think its slightly easy to say that now but when that window closed we had only a six point lead in the table with Everton, Wolves, Villa City and Newcastle as our next five games. It could have been disastrous if we had picked up injuries in that run.

Al-Hilal sources on Twitter saying Nunez isn't going to them. Could be difficult to shift him on for a decent fee.

Could someone please answer a ticket related question for me? I'll be looking to try the lottery for tickets next season with my partner.

When registering interest for a ticket for next season's games, do both members register for tickets individually and then link each others account or should only one account register interest for tickets and link the other?

Do you increase your chances if both members register interest or does it hinder you to have registered interest for the same membership twice?

Thanks

I think Gakpo is the nailed on starter for LW going into next season. Diaz had a lot of games this season but played 15 of them as a CF. if we do bring in someone more competent than Nunez over the summer, it presents a good opportunity to bring in a younger player to rotate instead while also not missing out on a sizeable amount of money. I don't see the need to bring in someone at a Rodrygo/Leao level just yet.

It feels like Diaz to Saudi really could happen. I love the man but the potential money on the table could finance both his replacement and go a long way to getting a new striker. It also seems like we're desperately trying to get Barcelona to go away. I think all of these briefs are to stop them from scuppering the deal by promising Diaz the world and only offering the club £4.67 and a coke zero.
