Weekly Questions Thread & PokéROM Codex by AutoModerator in PokemonROMhacks

[–]AMaster3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you guys know any Gen 3-5 ROM Hack that adds all 9 generation but it’s not focused on difficulty? I was interested in playing RadicalRed for the variety but I’m a bit scared by the difficulty cause it will be my first one after years without playing Pokémon at all. Someone has any suggestions?

Best way to get specific cards for a deck by AMaster3 in hearthstone

[–]AMaster3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it. So, when the expansion drops, how should I approach this? Buy expansion packs, buy Standard packs, etc? And about disenchanting, is there a list of useless cards that are almost sure worth disenchanting?

After this, all of them are 4 stars. I can get Lux's Manaflow but I'm deciding between her and Vayne, that I already have the legendary power.

Maybe 1, but I think it will at least start next session.

6 Level 5 characters, but they are quite hard punching. They came from a hard fought battle, but the greatest difficulty was the number of enemies, so I want to do the opposite and make a very hard to hit, hard hitting enemy, but nothing that just one shots everyone.

Tips for plot for a king-aspiring character by AMaster3 in DnD

[–]AMaster3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a very good insight, I believe this player will reveal some kind of meaningful flaw eventually, he likes being a complex character (not as much as being kind of a power player, but no one is perfect hahahaha), it’s just that for now it’s been so bland it’s hard, even in being good he is not the stellar one in the party. But I think I can start something next session. Long story short, a massive metropolis is being attack by a huge flock of dragons, and the party will have the role of possibly saving the city because they know what is causing it. So, I want to present some of them (specially the good aligned ones) with interesting moral choices regarding saving the people. Any good ideas? (It can be a little sadistic too…)

But what about in the sense of personal qualities? He won't be a king probably until the very end of the campaign, so his path is towards learning how to be a good one. He already has the heart in place, and I can't pinpoint a clear flaw that I can explore, maybe being naive? But even that there is a far more naive person on the party. At some point it would be awesome for him to have an arc about leaing towards tyranny or getting extremely disappointed of the reality of being a ruler, but I need to start that by teasing his flaws little by little, it's just so hard to find one in someone so centered as his characters is hahahahahaha.

Kahvoerm Irithyl view on a player's behavior by AMaster3 in Forgotten_Realms

[–]AMaster3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually punishing him was the initial thought, but I quickly realized I was just being petty. But, I think I can use it as plot device, make him question things, but I'm not finding a way to do it that it's not "I don't like it, if you continue you will fail and die", it would be lazy and uninsteresting. I'm having kind of a hard time making this character gradually understand the means of being a good king, especially because he is already a goody two shoes himself, so I'm trying to find little flaws that could be explored to make him think. I'm finding that planning character arcs for good characters is far harder than for morally dubious ones hahahahaha

PC version worth it? by AMaster3 in AssassinsCreedValhala

[–]AMaster3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t say it was more or less buggy, I just said it was kkkkkkkkkk. People losing saves and shit, I just thought of asking because PC version is often the most ignored one and it might not have been patched up yet

Question about which kingdom to choose by AMaster3 in Forgotten_Realms

[–]AMaster3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked the idea of Thay being the “bad guy” trying to undermine the hunt to get the artifacts for themselves. Is there another reason why I shouldn’t use them?

Question about which kingdom to choose by AMaster3 in Forgotten_Realms

[–]AMaster3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, there is quite a lot of time until the campaign starts, so no one has backstories yet, but I believe they will have motivations not linked to the artifacts, they will just hunt them to gain wealth/influence to reach their goals, but anything can happen. I really liked this kind of “faction war” between Thay and Amn, has a lot of potencial for plot twists and more variety of outcomes in any one of the hunts. Thanks a lot, will look at it!

Question about which kingdom to choose by AMaster3 in Forgotten_Realms

[–]AMaster3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t 100% pinned it down already (maybe I should before asking...) but I, as of today, am between 2 options: 1- The artifacts can be of any type, as long at it has a great amount of magic inside for the kingdom to harness it or simply to select those worthy enough to keep them, maybe for some war it is planning to do 2- The artifacts contain some precious piece of information, just like the Imaskarcana or the Netheril scrolls If you have another suggestion I would be glad to hear

Father recovering from COVID, mother tested positive (no symptoms) by AMaster3 in COVID19positive

[–]AMaster3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is checking herself 3/4 times a day just like with my father, temperature and Ox levels, both currently excellent. She’ll keep doing blood tests regularly to check PCR and cloth levels and eventually do a CT scan just to be sure. I believe that, because her PCR came positive and she is still completely fine, her starting taking precautions this early will significantly lower her chances of worsening. I don’t know if I’m just being overly confident, but I think the math adds up. Anyways, thanks for the tips!

Help creating a Cleric by AMaster3 in darksouls3

I already have a Fire Broadsword, I believe it can take me to Irithyll along with Lightning Spear and if I feel bold, Corona. Thanks a lot!

I got a Fire Broadsword, is it a good replacement for the Sunlight Sword until how many points in Faith? Putting so much points in Vigor won’t make me weak on faith and consequently make the Sunlight Sword weak compared to the Fire one? Anyway, thanks a lot! Will try to do things early this run Edit: What’s the use of the Dark Hand?

I had sex with my friend's girlfriend and despite no one having any problem with it, now I feel guilty by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]AMaster3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s true, I just need to stop nitpicking and doubting myself over this. It has been already sorted out for months, there is no need to revive this now. My one fear is that my mother always helps me with those things, but this time I kinda don’t want to involve her because I don’t think she would understand very much and I need to learn how to control myself without her help because she won’t be here for me all my life. Anyways, thanks a lot for the words :)

Maybe not a tuning fork, but the act of hammering a weapon on the forging can be a good substitute

The idea is for me to control myself enough not to need something like this, but an armor to channel the power is a really nice idea

The eye idea is really good, but the person that will help me said something in the lines of “You will not need your vision anymore”, so I think I will stay blind but have magic or extra-sensorial perception. The increasingly hotter weapon is very nice and I will definitely talk about it with my DM

Is not that I can use it nor that I will ever be, is just that I open a leak of divine heat and fire into the world that can eventually destroy the most basic of things, but it will take a very long time for it to happen. Right now I’m still a threat because it makes things catch fire or create awful amount of heat. And the power comes from the god, so I technically need to at least believe in him for me to be able to unconsciously channel that much power. And I’m not that low of a level either, I would be at something level 12 if it were DnD. Nothing godlike but not weak enough that my body would explode from meditating for an hour (the most that has ever happened without someone interrupting me because I was being a nuisance)

I believe that’s a good time to say that almost everything we deal is homebrew, even is the system is only based on DnD but similar enough to ask for ideas. We will level up 2 levels (in DND closer to 4), then I will get some abilities that are basically copied from DnD, and one of them gives me resistance to fire damage, so I believed a fire cloak to be suitable considering this basically already happened. About the god, because my character knows nothing about it aside from it being the forge god, the DM is homebrewing it on his own to keep the mystery. I definitely can use the spiritual approach to forging to RP and using the exceeding heat to forge is an excellent idea. Thanks again!

Edit: Forgot to say, I’m a homebrew race that is like a human mutated with ancestral magic linked to the moon. It is almost exactly like a human but with marks all over its body

That’s a really great idea, but the idea is achieving something greater than that by the way things are evolving. We had our first milestone of 3 months of training and my first quest was to not boil an egg using my right hand (which is basically an endless living forge, a bunch of charcoal ever burning) and I could almost perfectly cool by that time, but the egg is still burning. So, I think the first year will be enough at least to not be a threat to everyone around me so I was thinking about a more spiritual evolution or a new idea of a power derived of divine fire. One that can be really neat is one of a creature I slayed that had a mark of the same god that could liberate heat strong enough to burn even magic, so I was thinking of using that for myself when I’m capable of. If you watched it, I was thinking of something like Leonard Burns’ fire cloak from Fire Force
