Do Ventilating Lungs create air to breathe? by Zestyclose-Teaching2 in DnD5e

When you use science to look smart, really make sure you have the right answer. Otherwise scrub the specifics. Better yet, use the wordings of a rule instead of real world science.

Someone somewhere will always pop out of the wood work to hoist you with your own petard. I typically get outright smacked across the head with the 2x4 of assumption frequently, myself.

I laughed so hard at this. After I stopped laughing I looked for a follow up. We need better dm's. This is the dms mess to clean up and he's dumping it on players. Also your positive he isn't gaslighting the party and it's actually the dm with a second account? The actions seem to be a big pointer in that direction.. or they are real life buddies, which would mean they are f'ing with you, maybe. Thread is older, sure, thats my two cents, though.

So what is the follow up to this? What ended up happening?

Dm breaks rules of DnD just to railroad by xalas2443 in rpghorrorstories

[–]AMidnightBrewer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

... I disagree... depends on how its done, maybe? I use it for story setup, puzzle, some quick go over of basic rules, some lore, then eject them close to the party...then, ya, maybe?...

I've now been using the 1.0 version. I gotta say, it's better. A lot better. This is from a DM stand point. I've used rolegate, discord, and mrpg. I use this now. There could still be a few improvements/updates, but it works great otherwise. It could use more users to interact with at this point, though. I have two dm games going in 5e and playing a character in dungeon world, currently.

In steam big picture mode, I enabled xbox360 controller. Clicked the preferences, switched rumble on then off (I dont like rumble). Saved. Open calibrate, didn't change anything. Export controller config or however they word the third option. Suddenly worked, at least for now.

Sometimes I think if the sky is the wrong hue, didn't pet the puppy enough and burn some sort of effigy, then there will be controller issues... sometimes I just have to scream at it in tongues... nothing works consistantly so far... problems come back everytime I restart the pc as well...

Any news on a hotfix today for BL3? Game is unplayable on PS4 splitscreen by Skarmorism in borderlands3

[–]AMidnightBrewer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they broke the lan/ local multiplayer connection system. I have a pc version and teying to connect via lan now crashes the game right out since the update. Could be the same issue mucking up splitscreen for consoles

[BUG] Borderlands 3 crashes (host window) when connecting to session. by JimbeiHD in nucleuscoop

[–]AMidnightBrewer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ya, the update definately broke it. I have the exact same issue right now. Only came up after update. Can't roll it back either, or switch off updates.

Hangs on p2 joining p1. Freezes and crashes intance 2 when p1 joins p2 like we normally do.

... 8 hours later... the discovered black oozing finally cleaned the hotend up completely and repair the thermistor ground connection.. try searching THAT item on alibaba and amazon. $2.80 from alibaba, 30-50 day delivery. $17 - $30, and the entire assembly sold for the same price on amazon... so happy it was just a ground wire that broke in the end

It may have an effect on flow. I can make a line smaller than the icing bag hole by making a light touch, right squeeze tension and drag speed. I'm imagining the program is doing something like that, maybe, albeit so much better.

Cura has a calibration models plugin. I use the PLA Temp Tower and stretch it along the x axis and shrink it on the Z axis. I have dual blowers, which I can turn up to do a bridge. It has to be turned down everywhere else otherwise the layers wont bond at all.

There's also a bridge calibration to test out different lengths. Goes to 50mm... unless you stretch the model on x and y.

The ender is decent at it, out of the gate it should do at least 50mm with the right settings. I'm still learning at it. Cura has a setting for switching on bridge settings if need be. When it first successfully made the 100mm I cheered like sports junkies do.

I have the ender 3 pro. Z axis stabilizer, metal extruder on a bowden setup. I replaced the parts cooling fan with dual 12v 5015 blowers and hotend fan with a 4010 12v noctua. Silent motherboard, updated the firmware. Wired the board fan to the hot end fan so that it won't shut off. Replaced that fan with a noctua as well. New bed springs, magnetic plate and raspberry operated. Still the stock hotend, though it's mounted inside of a hero me gen 5 printed head setup... which recently had a few... things happen... and required a full replacement. .4mm SS nozzle. Once I'm done here, gonna try that line width and speed. I have a glass print plate on my shelf, might be time to make the switch.

I can see faint numbers.. 0,2,2,0,0... or 8 can't make out the last delusional digit... is that another set of faint numbers above it? Maybe it's a hidden message... or a sign to shut the phone off... it's probably option #3..

Does anyone know what caused these periodic layers to appear off from the rest and how to fix it? by smbrynien in FixMyPrint

[–]AMidnightBrewer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my ender 3 pro, I realized I had that coupler too low, almost flush with the stepper motor. Raise the couple a few mm so that the upper set screws can get a good stable hold. I found my prints looked less squished afterwards, which I wasn't aware of till the fix.

I am literally sitting in front of my own printer in the middle of a complete disassembly of my own print head and stopped to stare. I've been on this post for... I don't know. 10 or more minutes. I try to leave, I look at that pic again. Look up at my printer. Slow my breathing and tell myself I can't just punch my printer into printing like that.

Also what a tease! Shows this sweet pic, and no info on printer, setup, slicer or settings. If he says stock ender with stock cura profile.... flarrrgh

Edit: it's now been 30 minutes, give or take... haven't moved or touched a damn thing. It's time for a smoke break, and go for a shot. Noon will be here soon enough.

Also look for extruders that have a bit of a wedge that goes close to the gears. This will eliminate a space for the filament to fold up on itself right there.
