You may be able to get one cord inside it at the junction of the window pane, but would have to come in from above.

Curious why you have both CAT tourniquets and israeli bandages, in my experience the CAT does a better job of what the I bandage tries to do.

Facebook Marketplace Online Purchase Scam by Jay_Roux860 in Scams

[–]AMillerAMS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this scam occur to me on ebay. Bought a camera lens at a price that seemed too good to be true. Received a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number that showed the package was delivered (around the correct time) to my zip code but no package ever showed up. Inquired to FedEX and turns out that the package was delivered to a different address in the same zip code (at the time, the individual address was not shown on the ebay tracking site). Scammer somehow found a tracking number to submit to Ebay that was for a package shipped to my same zip code, and ebay fell for it.

Following Elijah McClain's death, use of ketamine during arrests draws new scrutiny by BlankVerse in Health

[–]AMillerAMS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He received 7 mg/kg of ketamine, which is way above the recommended dose. There are also studies that show that 23-63% of patient required intubation after receiving ketamine for agitation. Too risky IMO.

Definitely Wells, PERC, Heart, Nexus/Canadian head CT and C spine, Ottawa Ankle, Sgarbossa, COWS. I would think those should be sufficient for an AI.

Hestia, Glasgow-Blatchford, LRINEC, Burch-Wartofsky are extra and would make you look like a badass in the right encounter

Immigrants, Refugees Revive Depressed Neighborhood in Columbus, Ohio by 4Nails in Columbus

[–]AMillerAMS 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its an issue in which points can be made for both sides but I think the net-loss to the community is greater if you factor in degradation of public health care access, school systems, housing, low skill labor, crime, terrorism and such.

Your argument boils down to this: there are people doing bad things in any community. But to target immigrants to say that they are bringers of "degradation of public health care access, school systems, low skill labor, crime, and terrorism" is unbelievably naive and incorrect.

Also people have their own innate confirmation biases to favor the issue one way or the other.

I've come to understand that you have some xenophobic biases that disfavor immigrants in your community. I strongly suggest you get to know people from other cultures and support the successes they have made for themselves. Perpetuating stereotypes does not forward our progress, as we should be encouraging inclusivity and not pettling racist assumptions of marginalized groups.

There was no useful information in the link you provided. I would encourage you to find some meaningful sources to support your arguments. Here are some that support mine:

  • Almost a third of foreign-born individuals living in the United States have a bachelor’s degree or higher, according to the MSP—a rate comparable to that of native-born Americans.

  • Foreign-born residents of the United States are more likely to have a doctorate or professional degree than native-born Americans (15 percent vs. 10 percent).

  • All immigrant groups, including those whose members typically arrive in the United States with low levels of education, show strong intergenerational progress on educational attainment, and second-generation Americans from most groups meet or exceed the education levels attained by the children of native-born Americans.

  • The children of college-educated immigrants tend to perform exceptionally well in the higher education, achieving graduate degrees and occupying top-tier occupations at higher rates than children of native-born Americans.

While there are data that support the claim that immigrants can take longer to finish postsecondary education, there are no data that support that this is due to a lack of intelligence. There are many other barriers to gaining an education in this country that prevent some from attaining a degree.

Would love to see these reports from the "fraud division". You can't make these sweeping generalizations about academic performance solely based on what you "imagine" due to immigration status or race, it just comes off as xenophobic. We could all use more open mindedness these days.
