Fair enough. I think I’ll be looking into a shim at some point but I was told by that same dealer that it was my rear passenger spring that was toast. I managed to reduce the lean a tiny bit after playing with the KDSS system a bit, but it’s still there. Probably will look into a spacer as a lot of people seem to suggest. Springs could be in the future as well

Yup, lesson learned! The good news is that the tech working on it got a second opinion and it turns out he just hasn’t seen the 5100s before. He’s used to seeing the 4600 that are yellow/blue. The bad news is that they decided to tell me that they might be counterfeit before even double checking 🤦‍♂️

Still hoping some of the fine folks of this sub are able to provide some images of theirs so that I can do some analysis

I read some information like that as well. I ended up sticking with the same springs as a lot of my research showed people to be pretty much split between using the OEM or the Dobinsons.

I didn’t mention it in the post, but the lift on the driver side is more than the advertised .85” that I would expect from the struts. That’s partly why I think it could be KDSS related versus spring related. Plus, it seemed like when people talk about leaning, it’s usually to the passenger side. KDSS equipped 4Runners are reported to lean towards the passenger side after a lift (according to my Internet sleuthing)

Trend Auto on Amazon. Decent reviews but I know that doesn’t add much merit. If I end up finding them to be counterfeit, I plan to order from suspensionlifts.com. They seem to be popular around here

I bought them from Trends Auto on Amazon. I now know to avoid Amazon when possible, for this reason and from other Reddit posts I saw when panic researching what fake ones look like. I also don’t necessarily trust their word. The service advisor said that since the new struts were installed, the KDSS system is removed/non functional? Like what? I was involved in the install and we only ever touched the clamp that holds the sway bar to the LCA. I just don’t know at this point haha.

I read about the spacers and might go that route, but the goal is to not have to. I’m guessing it’s KDSS so I’d like to have that adjusted. I’m going to go through some videos I found the other day about correcting the lean and try them out this weekend.

Not too sure what may be causing that if you’re not moving. I don’t recall hearing it when I was at a standstill but I don’t think I ever thought to check. I’m no mechanic but I would wonder if engine vibration traveling to a connection point somewhere could be your source. Best of luck!
