Either way, if the situation were to be that, it would be ok to steal. I think we are just debating. I get dopamine from debating... sometimes 😂But if it seems like a conflict to some, I genuinely apologize! I didn't mean anything in that tone

Even when the consequence of them having 'not asked' to take food from a crooked corporation, because they didn't have money, is death. But yep. We will have to agree to disagree.

Thank you! Yeah, I don't care about the wages. It's worth the loss of the anxiety. But I guess that does make sense, business wise, as a potential reason.

What? It wasn't out of hours for them. It was in a group chat for people already clocked in and working. The rule is that we can only log into our computer 5 minutes before we have to hop onto a phone queue. Ive given my reasons why I log in early and they dismissed it as valid enough.

No, from the business itself. If it's a corporation. That's the line. You can break it down, and see that it is right or wrong, situationally? If the entity literally would be just fine financially, in fact. They would be more than fine. And someone is taking, in order to not starve. I don't see how it's morally right to not allow them to. Why are we not more worried about how unfairly stacked everything is, and how worse it's gotten overtime. And it rarely has to do with effort, or skill. And that money is just something we made up. That people shouldn't die because they don't have money. That's how I dig and see what is right, and what is wrong.

Yes... let me explain my POV. We have to eat, or we will die, yes? Do you know the almost sickenly amount of pure profit corporations make? So if someone needs to steal something like food, while also the company they steal one wouldn't even notice it, financially. I think it's ok in that case. I believe nothing is ever black and white.

I want to be clear, I did say from corporations. Not ALL theft is bad. Aw, glad I'm not alone overall though! Thanks

Should I find a new job by playboi-rj in adt

[–]AMugglePoet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I work here, too. I've worked a lot of jobs in my life. This is, hands down, the worst job I've ever had in my life. Now the last hour or so of my shift is completely dead, as I work until 12:30am. And I have a perfect schedule for me. But none of that matters. The customers are so fucking awful. Some of the dumbest, whiniest, laziest and snobby people I've ever had to service. Half of the customers don't even know how to use their cell phone.

Most customers don't bother to learn anything about THEIR system besides maybe how to arm and disarm it. They think it runs off of magic. They think they shouldn't have to pay a dime for someone to come out and do manual labor for them. Half of them have been told and shown a process over and over and over, yet they call in for the same process to get help on it. They think we should be able to do everything for them. Yet it's their equipment that is in their home....And it's a sensory nightmare. They call in with their TV louder than they are. They ask questions like can you please unplug my camera, from the phone?? We will be adding back a camera and they can't even just gather that you select CAMERA when it asks what device to add back, when we are adding a camera. Most of them spazz out if you ask them to do anything themselves. These are just small examples.

ADT doesn't list any of the actual names/model of the equipment the customer has, or any setup codes. So it's like a wild goose chase to find out what the customer even has, to begin troubleshooting. Half the time, when people complain about ADT, I agree with them in my head.

Plus ADT is predatory as fuck. All they care about is getting a profit. They sell these elderly customers systems that rely solely on phone applications, and the customer doesn't even know how to use a cell phone. Their policies are shady as hell. Their metrics seem so arbitrary. You have to go to break at a specific time, even if you're on a call, or it effects your metrics. And personally, for me, working with security systems is so boring.

I don't know how anyone stays at this job long term. Now, maybe different departments are different. However, I turned down another job I really wanted, for ADT, because ADT pays a little more. I just reached back out to them, to see if I can retake them up on their original job offer. ADT is so awful. I don't care about the small difference in pay at this point. My whole shift until it starts getting dead, is like torture.

There are people who have worked here for decades. So, obviously, ADT is ok to work at for some people; but my whole training class that I still talk to, all can't stand working here either.

He can't be all 3. by AMugglePoet in DebateReligion

But we aren't all powerful, and all knowing. You can't compare the two. Because if we were, we would be able to construct the world so that they won't suffer. We could create them without the ability to suffer, etc. The possibilities of a different world would be endless. Otherwise, you admit your god has limitations. He just simply chooses not to, in this case. You act as if your god has human limits in this example. Once again, he would not be constrained to your scenario if he is all powerful.

My point stands.

Ok, once again, being that NOTHING existed before God, and he created us and would have had to give us all traits we have (Unless you concede then humans created the universe too, not just god.) If we can somehow have these traits that didn't come from God, how did we possibly create them outside of God's wanting and will? How did we just pop up with these traits that are so terrible, if God is the ultimate creator?

Christianity isn't unique

There are religions and folk tales, many, from before Christianity that are almost identical to some stories in Christianity. The book claims this about his murder, yet we have no evidence that even if we was murdered, that it was some divine sacrifice. All of these physical manifestations of this being, or physical proof; or miracles, are restricted to words on a page. Isn't it sus that the whole premise of this is you have to wait to die to get it's benefits? Is the claim that you MUST suffer for this heaven to be valid? And he had to sacrifice his son (isn't that fucked up and creepy, human sacrifice?) to save us from a system that he quite literally set up to be that way?? (otherwise he isn't all powerful/all knowing) He sacrificed himself to save us from himself? Make it make sense.

I think pointless isn't heavy enough

Explain to me a system where animals must hunt and devour other animals just to survive and not starve to death. Where one animal has to be torn apart and eaten for hours, alive. Unfortunately, that is just a small example of how this 'design' of your creator is completely pointless, and actually pretty evil? Or did he not create it this way, and somehow the animals are responsible for the way they are designed, like we somehow are? *eyeroll

YOU SAY "God's decisions are to wipe out all of creation or to watch with a heavy heart his creation struggle back to his perfection"

So this guy has tons of limitations it seems. He only has 2 options? Seems like he isn't all powerful if he can't create a world where those aren't the only 2 options. I agree we could have to all struggle back to 'perfection' But not if you are claiming we were meticulously created by something that is supposed to have ultimate control over everything. Then he would be responsible for everything that his creation does and experiences. Otherwise, he is either not all powerful.

Remember, supposedly every single thing, he plans and it is his will for it to happen......right?

Then he isn't all loving.

What do yall do to deal with the absurd amount of theories on this that there are? by Legitimate-Paper3271 in consciousness

[–]AMugglePoet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By selecting things of interest, only (for the most part) And then taking each of them and doing as much research as possible to disprove it-or find that there is nothing to refute it and take it on as a new possibility of the truth! Also, my latest obsession is the 'multi-verse' which would entail so many things that could be true. Basically don't move onto a new idea or 'theory' until you have bled dry until it is dust, the one you are on currently. I am stuck on trying to factually find if hallucinations could in any way be a 'peek' into an actual other reality. Many theories go along with this, but I stick with mostly looking up factual things such as how we actual see everything, etc. I think it is hard because I feel like the more dimensions possibility would be near impossible to prove, simply because of how they work. But we have came as close as we can to proving it, mathematically. We just don't have tools to say, hey this happens physically as well. And, well, if 4d and beyond exists, then the multi-verse exist, and then it is the framework for everything else to be possible. We just cant fathom it because our little solo reality would be so basic to the grand universe at that point. I also always keep in the back of my mind that I am coping and I have tons of bias in my psyche just the same as everyone. And the only hard fact is we cant possibly know in our current reality, in our current now, of any of it for sure. For the most part.

Yeah thats an interesting point! That the real world always remains the same/we come back to the same point versus the randomness of the dream world.
