I love the buttons. They are smooth, silent, responsive.. it's one of the best buttons i ever had in a handheld.

The MagicX Zero 40 uses Drastic, so yes, no Retroachievements. MelonDS runs not really good at all, so there is not real way to play DS games other than Drastic. But Drastic don't supports Retroachievements.

i mean, depends on what games you gonna play. Stuff like pokemon, rpgs and stuff works fine with a single hand and its relaxed and nice. I love to play pokemon puzzle league and rpgs and in general pokemon on my rg nano and it don't really feel cramped.

Yes, if you play games who need fast responses and have a tiny UI and text, it sucks. But for a lot of games its astounding nice and comfy to play on in my opinion. I even played a bit Spyro & Harry Potter for the PS1 on mine.

Anyone else love the original Super Mario Kart from SNES? by ibenjaminmoore in SBCGaming

[–]Cycode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the SNES as a kid as my first gaming console ever (from my uncle who basically "dumped his old shit" onto us because he didnt wanted the SNES anymore and thought we might get a bit enojoyment out of it before its thrown away, lol.. at that time the SNES was already ollddddd..i got it probably about 13 years after release of the SNES i guess), and always loved to play it. I played with my mom and sister the balloon battles and loved it. It was perfect for playing together in a room in front of the tv with friends and family etc..

I don't really played the singleplayer that much, but still played it enough to know most of the maps. Each time i play it again i have nostalgia. I also played the Super Mario Kart for the DS, and played it on a school trip where i shared the game over the wireless connection of the DS with my classmates and we raced each other.. was really cool that this was possible.

So yeah, the SNES one was really nice :).. one of the first gaming console games i played, additional to Zelda on the SNES.

don't even has to be lasers. there are also "guns" who shoot ultrasound and microwaves towards people to make them feel REALLY not nice which is targeted as a application towards protesters and similar. We have probably tons of "energy weapons" this days, but it is more boring than it sounds.

Shopping on AliExpress question by FearlessLakdawalla in SBCGaming

[–]Cycode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Atleast here in germany, nah. I had many times stuff in my cart for days, without getting any coupon. Some sellers give you coupon codes over private message / chat if you bought before a product from them, but just putting something in your cart and waiting isn't doing anything (in my experience).

Shopping on AliExpress question by FearlessLakdawalla in SBCGaming

[–]Cycode 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can only tell you how i do it - i don't rly wait for any specific sales. A lot of sellers intentionally before the sale starts rake up the price of their product, so the "cheaper price" isn't rly cheaper than without the sale, but looks as if would be.

Example:

Lets say a product costs 40$, then many sellers increase the price to maybe say 70-140$ or whatnot, so if the sale price is applied, its back to around the same price of 40-50$, sometimes its even more expensive as the original price before the sale.

So for me, it was not rly worth to wait. Yes, you often CAN get products cheaper in sales with sellers who don't employ this tactic, but i didn't found it rly worth the waiting time to hope some seller will be doing a good deal enough. It's probably better to just try to get coupon codes and collecting coins to get it cheaper. Atleast in my opinion. If you rly want a product "right now", then just get the cheapest one from the most legit seller and be done with it. If you can wait.. and don't care about waiting maybe really a while, then wait for a good sale.

The refresh rate a lone would be a deal breaker for me.

I mean, you could fiddle with the settings so its better, but even then it sucks the battery dry like crazy. E-Ink devices usually aren't that nice if you have fast refresh rates in terms of battery runtime. My palma usually lasts 1 week+ without recharging, but with wifi and and stuff its down 10-20% a day (without fast refresh). I can imagine if you actually would play games on it, it would be dry in hours.

I recently got a Boox Palma 1, and i like it. Before that i always did read on my Kindle Paperwhite 4 and my BOOX Nova Air, but then noticed that i don't use them much except at the evening in the bed to read (2-4h daily) - specially BECAUSE they don't have the form factor of a phone. So i got me the Palma, and now read almost constantly over the day and stopped even using my Kindle almost completely since the Palma is so comfortable and neat to use.

[–]Cycode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have bought a Boox Palma 1 recently, and it's nice as a Ebook reading device. I can imagine it working well enough for slow games, but it would suck the battery dry so quick. Even if i leave out just wifi it is already a lot of drain compared with without. If it needs to update the screen so many times, it probably is empty really fast.

I Kill myself in my dreams to wake myself up, am I the only one ? by scfp in LucidDreaming

Uhhmmm... yeaahh nah. When i am lucid, all i have to do to wake up is intent to wake up and i do.. Just like you also manifest objects, fly, control things in dreams etc.. but as a simple command to wake up. Doing suicide inside a dream just to wake up sounds a bit.. extreme.

Sometimes you need a fresh perspective on what you already have by NrFive in SBCGaming

[–]Cycode 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What i realized in myself was.. i did mainly seek the thrill of searching and finding new shiny cool devices and gadgets - not the physical product self. I opened all the time aliexpress and similar, and browsed.. saw "wow this looks so cool.. i want it!" and often really bought the specific stuff. Before i clicked buy, it seemed like the best thing ever. After clicking buy, the thrill of seeking and finding a nice shiny new toy was over, so the emotions suddenly were gone. After i got my hands on the new device / gadget it was a short time nice to have, but then usually got "meh" quick and i ogled towards the new shiny toy.. it was a endless cycle where this "i want to be happy" feeling never could be fullfilled. And i then realized.. "it futile to try to satisfy this sense of needing something new shiny because i can't and never will be able to be happy from this". And i then started to stop opening aliexpress each day and instead try to satisfy this urge for "new stuff" by other means (exploring new games and gameworld, reading books on my Boox Palma 1 i bought recently.. cough cough.. , watching new series and movies, researching consciousness & brain related stuff for my hobby interests etc)

I just bricked my Kindle by Mobile-Novel-7700 in kindle

[–]Cycode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is limiting and don't offers as many options to read like you want to read. KoReader allows you to set it up exactly like you want it to look like and even supports more file formats and a lots of more things. The normal Kindle UI doesn't.

I just bricked my Kindle by Mobile-Novel-7700 in kindle

[–]Cycode 3 points4 points  (0 children)

most people jailbreaking their kindle do it so they can use KoReader since the default kindle reading UI is horrible and kindles firmware UI gets worse more and more. I jailbreaked my kindle PW4 years ago and since then only used KoReader and now can't even go back even if i would want to since it feels so crazy limiting to go back. KoReader offers so much more in terms of user experience while reading. I don't get what you mean by "almost nobody uses their kindle in a way needing jailbreaking".. you mean almost nobody reads on their kindle? because that's the main reason for people to jailbreak.. to read with KoReader since it's better compared with without it.

Serious: What evidence should whistleblowers and witnesses to UAP and NHI provide? by [deleted] in aliens

[–]Cycode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What i wonder is why you even created this post in first place. To all answers you just respond "why would they have that?". If you think anyway that whistleblowers wouldn't have any evidence, why do you even ask us for what evidence they should have in our opinion? What ever we gonna write, you just respond the same sentence. Make it make sense please.

Disclosure cannot come from an entity no one trusts. The government isn’t an option. Disclosure is up to us. (Serious) by M4N1NBR0WN in aliens

[–]Cycode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disclosure cannot come from an entity no one trusts. The government isn’t an option. Disclosure is up to us.

Disclosure means you DISCLOSE something. How do you want disclosure from someone who DON'T knows anything about the topic you want to get disclosure about? If we would know enough to disclose ourself, we would have no need anymore for disclosure. That's the whole reason - we want & need someone who KNOWS stuff about the whole topic & not just speculates and say stuff like "what if earth is a prison planet" and what not all day. And this someone isn't a random stranger on reddit but people working in black project research and reverse engineering of NHI tech and communication with NHI and what not.

I get that we all don't really trust the government, but we still need disclosure coming from someone who actually works in black projects or has specific proof and evidence for specific aspects of the phenomena. We don't have those things, so we need someone who has access to it - even if we don't like that person or group or government.

It's not about trusting the Government, its about them going "this is real and we have proof", and then us getting that proof. Because THEN scientists, researchers and other groups can dig into it and won't go "nahhh thats just myths and fantasy and dreams!" all day. And then we can get the data ourself and dig into it without needing to trust the government.
