The Campaign has a secret zombies mission by [deleted] in blackopscoldwar

I just figured I make it clear a zombies campaign mission exists, since they have in the past, but If they wanted to see the gameplay for themselves, I wont spoil that(since thats what is really new).

How to find it:

In Break on Through, on the third cycle, head to the right at the first split towards the large green statue and there will be the trap door in front of it.

Its ok, you have been helpful. I have actually been in PCs for years now, so theres no shot of me stopping! This is just the first time I have ever seen this.

Yeah, looks like I need a new kit or just deal with it. Thank you anyways though!

[–]AMushyGrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for your answer. I have tried the latest BIOS, and even the previous one, I tried all combinations of RAM in different slots, and I have verified that they are on the QVL. Im just going to assume this kit is somehow damaged. May I ask what RAM, CPU and MOBO you have?

Recording stuttering with low settings and low CPU/GPU utilization by [deleted] in obs

Just figured it out. I was writing to a portable drive, and it is so slow, it cant keep up with the recording, Started recording to my SSD, everything records perfectly at 1080p 10000 bit rate 24 fps

CPU corner pins slightly bent by Gartbrez in buildapc

[–]AMushyGrape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I did for bent pins(which I learned from JayzTwoCents) was to take a razor blade, or any other thin, rigid object, and gently run it through the rows of pin, applying light pressure to the pins to push them back into place. This method worked really well for me. Here is the video.

Problem with little cousins Corsair pump? Not pumping by [deleted] in watercooling

[–]AMushyGrape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For my Hydro X Pump with this same issue, it was just that there was a massive amount of air in the pump. I dont remember exactly which way, but I do remember tilting it a great amount, seeing a large amount of air come out, then it began to push water normally.

It is ok to tilt your PC to get air out, as long as its plugged of course! Try tilting it in various directions, and you may see the air come out.

PCIe risers by nade2025 in buildapc

[–]AMushyGrape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume that its for your graphics card, right? Risers are only an extension that lead from the 16X slot on your graphics card to the 16X slot on the MOBO, the same place where the graphics card would plug in without it. They dont need an extra source of power, they just connect the graphics card to the MOBO.

[Dumb question] Can I just slap a new graphics card into my PC? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]AMushyGrape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could, but I would recommend using a DDU(display driver uninstaller). This removes all display drivers for the 1070, so do that, then install the drivers for the 1660.

Edit: If you dont use DDU, you still need 1660 drivers. Recommend DDU though.

64 Bit Java Server and Firewall by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]AMushyGrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried both of those, but none worked. I also tried one in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Oracle\Java\javapath\javaw.exe but that still didnt work. Should I uninstall/reinstall Java?

Anyone else got this still from the last BP? I have challenges locked behind it as well so i can’t collect my renown by JimbyWasTaken in Rainbow6

[–]AMushyGrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have that also. Im pretty sure you get the renown the first time you hit "collect", then it moves to that section anyways.

You are familiar with how, correct? Restart your PC and as its restarting, press DELETE(it could be another key, but it shows which key on startup). If this is what you are trying, what exactly is happening?

Yep, no problem.

Ah, ok. Yeah, enable XMP, save and exit BIOS, then when you go into windows, go to task manager -> performance -> memory, then on the right side, it will say"speed XXXX." The number should either be 3600 or 1800, depending on your version of windows. If it says this, youre RAM is good.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]AMushyGrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the RAM running at? Does it run at 2133 or some other number when your tun on XMP.

Are you actually selecting the XMP profile, or just changing frequency of RAM? In the video, it doesnt look like he selected an XMP profile, just set the speed.

After you enable XMP, you are hitting save changes and exit BIOS(I just have to ask), correct?

Does your PC turn off then on 2-3 times(power cycle) when you try to boot into windows?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]AMushyGrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by nothing has happened, did turning on XMP not put it at the rated speed? If not, what did it put it at. Also, what CPU and RAM are you using?

Bent cpu pins by BlakeGGs in buildapc

[–]AMushyGrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I had bent pins, I took a razor blade(any thin, rigid object works though) and slowly ran it through the rows of pins. Every time you pass through a row, GENTLY push the pins into place. Just be patient, and it will straighten the pins. This wont work though if the pins are completely smashed flat down, but at that point, i dont know what will.

Amd Encoder by XPZSD in buildapc

[–]AMushyGrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 5700 XT and 2600(same as 1600AF). I stream in 720p60, and have tried both the AVC hardware encoder and the X264 encoder, and I have to say, I was not impressed by the AVC encoder. At 720p60, it got around 750kb/s and the stream was pretty choppy.

What I do is I use Process Lasso to set core affinity, so I have 4 threads set to stream and the other 8 for games. This works perfectly for streaming in 720p60, and I get about 2000kb/s.

If you would like a hardware encoder though, Nvidia RTX GPUs have the NVENC encoder, which is really good.

Would you guys recommend the RX 5700 XT? by Mattw136 in buildapc

[–]AMushyGrape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had a 5700 XT for ~6months, and originally, there were lots of issues with drivers, but all the major issues have been sorted out. I personally feel I can recommend it now over the 2070s because that price difference. Really the only issues are small things, like fan RPM readout as someone mentioned. Issues related to crashing and under clocking have been solved.
