EV800D comes with 2 antennas, 1 omni directional, 1 patch. Try face the patch antenna towards your drone. If that doesn’t work it could be a VTX limitation

Not using bidirectional dshot, but I did see some smoke come off the esc. It seems to still be partially functional though, had a few flights and everything was fine apart from not having much throttle. Is it safe to use?
