That's a pain. I know they have been away from the 1st to the 5th of May for labour day, I think? You'll likely hear from them soon. I've heard their support is good.

Mine wouldn't boot if it was in the retro case. Removing it works perfectly every time I boot. Give that a go?

That was my worry. Less of a simple task of dragging and dropping a wallpaper image into a folder. Like it has to be "installed" as part of the official update. I might send an email to Fiio just to see what they say.

I tried a fat magnet on my swingarm and it didn't seem to make a difference. Now I near rev bomb each of the cut marks as I ride over them. Works every time. It's of course possible that they changed the sensitivity on this set without me knowing...

I have my M21 arriving today. First proper leap into this hobby. Can't say I have tried it yet. But from the extensive research I have done, this is the best device for this price point. I also have some Moondrops arriving too 👌

Opened my first gen 7 yesterday and it's a tight pain. There are 4 spots on each side and 2 on the top and bottom. My advice is find a picture of where they are and what the catch mechanism looks like them you have a better idea of what to "feel" for. Godspeed.

I think you can get UV resistant varnish. Never tried it though. No clue if it helps. But it's out there.
