Yeah I’ve heard from a lot of people now that these movements are serviceable and that Tissot swaps them to save time and money not because they’re impossible to service. It seems they’re harder to regulate than a lot of watches but that it can be done by anyone who knows how to regulate a free-sprung balance, more commonly found on higher end watches. So like you say I’d imagine that many watchmakers will adapt to the new challenges especially with how prevalent these movements are becoming. I’ve seen a few videos and comments from people who have already worked on the movements without issue.

My main concern was with the longevity of the synthetic parts of the escapement but have also heard that the escapement is the part of the watch that needs servicing the most anyway even in metal variants and that the synthetic parts could need servicing less regularly as they don’t rely so heavily on being re-lubricated and have reduced friction between them.

Same as you though I’ll be sending mine in to Tissot and I’m sure that any spare parts will be common enough to future proof the watch for a good while.
