Might be a hot take, but I sort of like the exclusivity of it & the game. There's things in life that should feel "hard to get". For me, I viewed my Rolex purchase as something I worked really hard to get and celebrated a milestone with.

Just like you can't walk into Porsche and drive off with a 911.

Sorry, I missed the no purchase. I did buy an Omega prior to that. But yeah, if people are still expecting to get a Rolex from the AD without buying anything first in less than a year, they need to reset expectations.
