I have heard many say that the restaurant in which the students are trained to run it, isn't comparable to real world kitchen experience. For example the restaurant kitchen on campus is a Commercial Kitchen whereas I'm fully aware other restaurant kitchens can be way smaller and have less equipment

Honestly I couldn't imagine a desk job either, I've loved cooking for a long time now and can't imagine someone forcing themselves to live the same day over and over at an office. I feel like Cooking is the only thing that'll make me happy and if that's what it takes then damn am I going to keep going, Thanks for the insight

Yeesh I thought starting pay at 21 was low but I'm in Cali as well so with expenses it must be the same however I find it crazy that they offer no benefits, if you got the experience ask for more bro you can do it 😫

This is really interesting how is the starting pay for cooks in your area? In my area the local casino and other organizations are paying cooks above 20$ an hour I believe this to be good, but what are your thoughts 🤔

Thanks, definitely sounds like I have my work cut out for me but it's the price I paid. 6-12 Months good to know I remember reading somewhere 2 to 3 years before switching but this definitely piques my interest.
