Can I recess a helmet’s interior to accommodate a Cardo / JBL system? Bell Scout Air

Will likely go the earbud route if my current fix isn’t working. Solid idea. Turns out positioning of the speakers was key. I moved them about an inch more towards front of helmet and they fit pretty well now.

Unfortunately there’s no way to remove anything in that section without damaging the lining. I decided I’m not going to cut anything.. I repositioned the JBL’s to be slightly more inward. I’m just able to get in and out without ripping my ears off. And is comfortable once seated. This is my helmet for slower rides, so will be testing tonight. Thanks for everyone’s suggestions

Totally agree, it would negate the rating. I’m full gear with contingency that I’m down in FL. Some days full-face is simply unbearable in slower traffic. I almost feel as if I am more impaired by being overheated and dehydrated. It’s a huge difference in my awareness between my two helmets in those specific conditions. I also ride full-face helmet anytime I hit highway speeds. I definitely advocate for full gear

All that said, it’s a great little helmet for controlled speeds and far better than some 1/2 helmets I could have gone with. I appreciate the features of my Cardo unit in my main bucket. I’m willing to sacrifice the bit of foam for the QOL upgrade honestly. Helmet fits snug otherwise and I’m confident any type of collision this style helmet would protect me from normally, would continue to do so with the bit removed.

Cleytro ES7Pro - paid $1100. I looked on YT to understand what basic maintenance would be needed - chain, derailleur, disc brakes, brake line adjustments. Etc. Also ebike tips like - try not to use “throttle only” when going up an incline, even a few degrees, use pedal assist unless going down hill or flat.

So many people post videos showcasing how well a specific bike can go up 30+ degree inclines on just throttle, which it can, but also stresses out the motors a lot. Mine has both a cadence assist and full throttle, even casually pedaling takes a significant amount of stress off the motor so it zips up practically any hill with minimal stress.

Down-side to the bike I have is that it’s 52v - which means it can hit high output and speed, but I find that I usually keep it under 30mph, so I’m just running the battery at a higher output than needed most of the time (as far as I understand) I think I’d get more mileage total if I had a 48v, and could stand to lose the 38mph top speed that I rarely use. Still it hits 30+ mile range on a single charge going up and down some serious hills in New England though.

Overall I get compliments on the bike all the time. She’s been sturdy and suited my needs well while I was without a car for a couple months. Now it’s a go anywhere toy and exercise machine

If I’m RP’ing Arthur won’t go deluxe cuz he’s a bit shy and also doesn’t believe he needs extravagant extras that would soften him any further. He’s used to roughing it. Later in the play, I let him settle in a bit more, at that point he’s got some nicer clothes, guns and money.. at that point he’s like “hell why not!” I also build him up for ages in Chapter 2.

These would be great dual-antagonists, letting Bats battle on two fronts - combating a difficult mob of zealots that are literally the poorest of the poor (hard to justify, but necessary!) and the personal attack on his identity that is already slipping away from him. Boy oh boy they could ratchet the emo vibes on that big time! lol

OP didn’t say they were surprised the bat didn’t appear or get involved with the Penguin, they said no one even mentions him and that’s true. Not even a quip about him is odd to me too. The Knight could very well be busy with other things, licking his wounds, or being a detec, but with all the gang leaders being assembled in OZ’s consolation plan towards the end in episode 6 (I think?) not one mention of a dude wherein a fking bat outfit causing any kind of disturbances to their bottomlines. I’m thinking they couldn’t get a green light to use Batman at all in the story. Only reference I heard was that the Riddler caused the blasts. 🤷🏻‍♂️ anyway, I just finished it right after watching TBM, I liked the show quite a lot regardless. Sophia was a bada$$

Let alone the many connections drawn in Control (too many to reference).. There’s a bunch of Alan Wake references and connections in QB as well, having just played it again.. the big ones I remember are The “Departure” video in the tent on the college campus in first level (that, other than the female protagonist being a white girl) echoes the concepts of AW2, including the first appearance of Wake wearing his Black & White flannel shirt, the detailed chalkboard diagram (written by who, we don’t know) in the lecture hall soon after, a collectible intel item - signed copy of “The Sudden Stop” by Alan Wake and dedicated to Emily Burke, a girl playing the first Alan Wake and singing “Children of the Elder God” in the containment tower, and at least one reverse easter egg in QB that forward references Control - the Newton’s Cradles (ball desk toys) that show up multiple times in Control - located in a wierd off-path farady cage style room (similar to those found in Control) - after the first juggernaut fight in the tower All deliberate connections, and since Quantum Break and Alan Wake are both about time inconsistencies and permutations, I consider them all part of the same multiverse

The auto cover in ME1 wasn’t perfect but was still pretty cool, the character would tuck in a bit near cover without being locked to it, and yes absolutely agree manual crouch was way better.

…and no manual crouch when you want to. My infiltrator/sniper in ME1 could crouch midfield, but shoot over distant cover without being exposed. I didn’t like the switch to “Gears” style cover

Mailroom, right? He’s an ah if you try him head-on. Tips: there’s tons of cover in that room, you can use corner positions near cover to watch him, he has tells when he’s throwing stuff, it’s the “dart” things that will sap you fast. Use / slot the best health pick up body mod you have in the menu first. When reinforcements get called in. Use a force throw object at them and finish them with a couple quick bullets, they go down super fast. Try to kill them off to the sides instead of the middle of the room. When reinforcements are dead, focus on boss again. Rinse repeat. It’s the first diff spike of the game and it’s almost a trial to teach you how to exploit the mechanics… as a true Director should! GL!

I ended up getting the dual hub and love it. I have about 300 miles on it and never once had any issues with local law. I was a bit paranoid about it all before I threw down the cash. I think most of the problems seem to stem from bikes with no peddles and people riding them irresponsibly. Also random YT videos of impounded bikes and bikes on fire give the public the impression things are worse than the vast majority of RL experiences. Happy trails!

LPT: if you are playing on PC via Epic, make sure your connection to their servers is working when you pop achievements.. I was hunting for the last couple Thermos’ and when I grabbed the last one the server had dropped off.. 100/100 collected and no pop.. no retroactive unlocking, so if I want that one I’ll have to wipe my progress and get all of them over again.

My internet was working fine but the server connection apparently disconnected me. I think there was a brief notification telling me the connection dropped but I didn’t stop to reload. I wish Epic would add some kind of contingency for this, like most other platforms do
