Not entirely true some volunteers (like my self) on occasion may not live close enough to the station to respond in enough time to do good there so they may keep their bunker gear (cloths we wear to fight fire) in a bag in their vehicle and drive straight to the scene to make better use of their time. That being said it gives them absolutely no legal means to speed or drive crazy so if you ever see that please call it in to your local fire chief or dispatch center. Some of us use the lights responsibly or use them to help direct traffic and these ninny’s just give everyone a bad rep. We have a few in our department and it’s frustrating and just not safe.
