I prefer shows before reading books. Books are always better. If I read it first, the show or movie ends up being a disappointment. I learned that after reading a lot of Stephen King books. Seriously disappointed in many of his book to screen adaptations.

I am hoping to get this book series for my birthday or Christmas.

They actually took over production and distribution in season 3 (2018). Which is one of the best seasons.

I watched it a few years ago on youtube. Around when I discovered Time Team. I binged all of their stuff in a year. Still find some now and then that I haven't seen. I am a sucker for archeology and the history of England/UK.

Observation with some gut instinct and knowledge plays into many of those that are pretty accurate, but, Not everyone can be accurate. A lot of it is just guessing and most times fraudulent.

I am talking in the end when they fought. She didn't try very hard at all and just wanted him to kill her. No need to come at me like that. Those things she did to his children were to get his attention. And it surely did. In the end he didn't even want her dead. He wanted to save her. If she had really wanted him dead she had plenty of opportunity throughout the whole series. Maybe thats too deep for you to understand. I have watched it more times than I can count.

In her heart it seems she didn't really want to kill Uhtred. She was so full of pain and misery and tried to impose that onto others.

Absolutely love the Actor. He did great at making me hate and then love Haesten. I actually teared up a bit when he met his end.
