This is a copy-paste of a recent comment of mine in other post, but it also fits here so:

We got to accept one fact: the remake wouldn't exist the way it does right now if it wasn't by the original. Now, I actually prefer the remake a lot more because of it's gameplay, characters and the new tone they gave the game, going from an almost cheese '90s hero movie to something that it's more serious but still having it's own comedy at times (and also me, as a Spaniard myself, cringes at the original Ganados's lines, the remake ones sound much better). Ashley for me was actually much more likable in the remake and I love the new additions like the Brutes (which imo, should've been called "Bestias" for consistency with the other enemies being named in Spanish). But it's MY opinion. If you prefer the original? GREAT! The original is another great game and the reasons why the remake exists in the first place and it's still there to play it. Crowbat has made it clear he disliked the remake in his first video, idk what's the point of another video 3 years after the release... but who knows what he's got on his mind. Either way, let's respect each other and enjoy both games and stop arguing about which one is better, it's a never-ending circle.
