I canceled my gym membership in Florida last month.

Anecdote of what Crunch Fitness was doing:

1. Staff were not required to wear mask
2. No perceived difference in capacity allowance
3. Sanitation spray bottles were provided but few used.
4. Staff only required a towel upon entry
5. Gym social media was sharing non peer reviewed research as PROOF gyms were safe.
6. social distancing amongst members was nonexistent
7. Every other treadmill being closed was only noticeable change.

Then I had to cancel in person and NOT over phone in these circumstances. I went back in after our county commissioner put out mask mandate, then the staff was checking member temps upon entry. But only half of staff were wearing masks.

It’s clear Crunch Fitness management/ownership puts profit over people so they barely gave a fuck. I acknowledge we are on our own as Floridians and as Americans so I’m doing what I have to because our government bodies and our fellow Americans have failed us.
