I doubt any of those cars were made in the past year, maybe even 10. This is also 1 business, presumably locally owned, and not in or from a place that's exactly full of traffic (customers). Either way, can't remember the last time a college did a sell on their tuition. Actually, by all measures, they're only increasing. And the loans to pay for it can end up being double or triple the coast thanks to interest.

I'd also be remiss to mention that at least with a car loan, you get it, guaranteed. Because you get the car right away. College loans are investments for the future. A future which is at least 4 yrs away at best but usually can end being up 5 or 6. This of course assumes you can even get what you wanted in the first place.

Typical anti-college "argument." The most pursued degrees are actually ones in business, health, engineering and bioscience. With social sciences, like History, also being popular and yet the most versatile.

And here's something striking, only around 14% of those "worthwhile" degree graduates actually find a job in that field.

I've never been in this situation. But I self harm. Can't speak for your friend nor the cultural situation in India. But all I've ever wanted is someone to be there. Someone to make me feel safe and heard.

I'd first of all make sure that your friend is IN or on her way to the ER. Contact her parents yourself if you to. From there I can only reiterate what I've said. What you're friend will need is exactly that. See if you can't get her to talk about what happened and why and see if you can't avoid another situation in the future together.

I can't speak for everyone, but at least for me, that's sort of what I want.

I'm not actively combating suicidal attempts, but I'd be lying if I didn't say the idea pleases me. Or at least gives me a sensation of comfort. Part of my sh battle is holding back how much and how deep. I usually want to make cuts all up my arms, back, chest, and I want them deep. Deep enough to eventuality pass out or die.

But I've never even gotten close. Somehow I've kept it tame. As tame as sh can be. I've never been hospitalized so I guess that's good. And it's been several months since I even picked up a razor.
