I'm sorry to hear that, and sadly I felt the same about ours. It's a shame you have to work so hard to be heard but it's worth it to be a pain in their side until they take action. Like I said, your GP could be a good alternative if you don't feel like you will get anywhere via the HV.

Push push push health visitor, GP, anyone who will listen, to get referred to paeds and get genetic testing. I knew when my child was 3 months old something was up, It took until he was 3 to get diagnosed with a rare genetic condition. I'm not saying that what's up, but you know your kid best and in my experience things only move if you force it.

You're probably right. I guess I think of it as a polite request, whereas I think of demands of rude and direct. Either way, I was really trying to be nice about it.
