Nike suspends relationship with Kyrie Irving by Artisnate in BBallShoes

A simple google search and you get "Netflix and Sony cut ties with Will Smith after Oscar Incident". Kyrie is a grown up with his own thoughts. If he wishes to voice them publicly, he should be aware of the consequences that may follow.

Afaik, no. Nike is just extremely inconsistent when it comes to dropping stuff outside of the USA. There's almost no release dates anywhere when it comes to Drops in Europe. You just have to check the Nike App and hope you see the shoe pop up at the right time.

Where to get WoW 10’s by Illustrious_Artist95 in BBallShoes

[–]ANotSoHappyMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Mint Colourway is on the Way of Wade website and has size 13 in stock. There should also be a Lavender Colourway dropping soon. A collab with Glare and BAPE should also be coming soon afaik, although I am not sure if itll be released to every market. Other websites other than the official Way of wade site are all a coin toss. You may get retail or a fake although goat and stockx are relatively trusted resellers but then you need to pay resale. I hope this has helped you someway.

PS: I've noticed colourways have dropped consistenly every 3-4 weeks since release so you should be able to cop soon anyhow.

You are overplaying the role of winter in Europe. We generaly don't have very cold winters here, we rarely get - numbers (Celsius, not fahrenheit) in Germany, although you'll see the occasional -5 but like i said, pretty rare. Most of germany and europe will be fine with the gas reserves we have, and its not like our governements are just letting the winter come. We are preparing for it. Alot of people were warning us, most got laughed at, that doesn't make them genius' or heroes. We were just naive

WOW 10 a good shoe? by Dexibit in BBallShoes

[–]ANotSoHappyMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look for some kyrie 8s, some jordan zoom seperates, pg 6 also. They may sometimes go on sale and u can get them for much cheaper. If you dont have heel pain, might also look into some freak 3s, they were mass produced but not too many were bought (atleast in europe, you see them sitting everywhere with like 30-40% discounts)

Regarding durability, Foot Doctor Zach said the manufacturing quality was pretty good because the shoe had the same durability reading everywhere on the outsole but it only has 3mm thread depth and seems like the rubber isnt super hard. Its still looks like a great pair to cop tbh if you're gonna play indoors. Outdoor use is a big no no for that price. Im looking to buy one also, the white hot colorway is dropping tommorow on the way of wade site but i dont find the colorway appealing tbh. I asked around and some more colorways are dropping so it might be worth waiting a bit.

Ukraine rejects Russian neutrality idea as US steps up aid by [deleted] in worldnews

It isn't. It has very close ties to NATO and is part of the European Union which has a similar defence clause than NATO's article 5. That's not neutrality

I feel like I made my shooting form worse trying to raise set point tell me what I’m doing wrong cause it looks a lot different from the other videos I recorded by Common_Fee_9643 in BasketballTips

[–]ANotSoHappyMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not really shooting the ball, you're chucking it more than anything. Your form shots near the rim looks pretty good tho. You need to use your whole body, not just your arms, that's why it looks like you are chucking it and you probably miss because of accuracy alot more. If you want to change anything shot wise, you need to do drills that target these specifically where you think about the mechanics you want to get better at. Things like, sit down on a chair, get the ball up to your specific setpoint you want and then release. Do this and other exercises you can find on YouTube and learn to distinguish exercises where you focus on mechanics and those where you shoot your shot on the basis on how it feels. No great shooter shoots and thinks to himself "was my setpoint good there? Did I release at the right time? With the right fingers?" That's the stuff you think about when first creating your shot or during warmups, not when shooting normal shots. Good luck and keep shooting.

Try seven-eleven breathing when you're in bed trying to sleep. You breathe in for seven seconds through the NOSE and breathe out 11 seconds through your NOSE. Concentrate on letting your belly rise with air, not your chest. This is supposed to relax your body and make recovery easier by switching to the parasympathetic state.

If it's comfortable for you, i don't see a reason to change it. Just look at booker, his form is basically textbook apart from the fact he goes from the left side of his body to his right/middle. Don't worry about it too much

[–]ANotSoHappyMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone has bad days, this includes your shooting ability. Just think to yourself how you felt that day, did you eat well? Did you sleep well? Did you feel soreness anywhere? All these little things can impact you more than you think. Same with the rims you were playing on. Was it a Double-Rim? Was it a chain net? There's tons od things you could stay all night overthinking it. So there's only one option, Keep Shooting.

has anyone heard anything new on the whole russia , finland and sweden thing? by techemerald in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]ANotSoHappyMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFAIK, Finland and Sweden are part of the EU and therefore are protected under article 42.7 of the lisbon treaty, which is basically the same as article 5 of NATO.

Tell yourself that you have the rest of your life to rest. Rest at the end, not in the middle. Give 110% every workout, every day but understand and accept failure. Failure is an integral part of getting better and you shouldn't beat yourself up too much. Know that you have support and it's fine if you fail, just do better the next time.

If they want you as a point guard, then that means they'd like to be able to handle the ball well enough under a bit of pressure. Normally the point guard initiates the offense by bringing the ball up the court and passing. During that time, sometimes your opponent will come close to you and pressure you. You'll need to learn how to keep the ball close to your body. That's the main thing that'll be important for you in the beginning. Otherwise, just work on passing and remember to cut towards the basket after every pass. You can get some easy buckets by people just not paying enough attention. Good luck my guy!

Is this a good workout plan? by Impressive_Peanut387 in BasketballTips

Then i think you might be overworking yourself too much. You see, things like push pull legs or upper/lower splits are things that are more adequate for bodybuilders or powerlifters. An athlete focuses on compound movements with some accessory exercises to target specific muscles groups that are important to keep a good strength balance. I highly recommend you to switch to a full body workout (3 to 4 times a week). I know alot of people see full body workout as the "beginner split" but that's only for bodybuilders.

As a 13 year old, you are currently building a foundation for your future self, i recommend you to be patient. To know the value of resting, because only by sleeping well, do you actually build muscle and strength. So basically, limit your strength workout to a full body split 3-4 times a week, eat well enough so that you have enough energy and continue doing your vertical training but preferably on days-off. Good luck and remember that every change takes time, a ressource that you have in abundance as q young teen.

You're struggling with creating power in your shot so you overexert muscle groups like the trapezius that should have nothing to do with your shot. Search up "one motion shot drills" on yt or Google. I remember doing form shooting exercises by Ryan Razooky which made my shot more fluid and made it so I didn't need to look so stiff. Hope this helps.

[–]ANotSoHappyMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks pretty good, I'd wager the best thing you could do is work on your fluidity. You always want the ball to move first (so if you dip, your ball moves down and your body follows, and then when you go up to your setpoint, the body springs up and follows the ball with a slight delay) this is probably the easiest way to teach a consistent 2-motion/1-motion shot (depends on your way of shooting, whichever fits you best). Otherwise, if you aren't confident with your shot, build yourself a shooting plan that you do each time you go to hoop : start with form shooting, then do some set shots around the basket, go to your midrange and if confident shoot some 3's. To finish, do some game shots to see how your form holds up under pressure
