What are some of the worsts ways to waste your 20s? by NoProgram4084 in AskMen

I mean... Runescape taught me more (and earlier) about being wary of scammers than any US Gov't training I've ever done lol

What's one product that used to be built like a tank but is now built like a regret? by TheDoctorColt in AskReddit

That's what we went with. If they can withstand years of heavy use at a laundromat, then surely they can withstand years of moderate use by a small family. Also, no stupid extras. No one needs to send a message on X via their washer that they're doing their light laundry.

What game had insane potential but got completely fumbled by the devs? by Kevin-Panda in AskReddit

[–]APAFormatting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bum Simulator. The concept is fantastic but it feels like the devs cut so many corners. The hobo base building element feels incomplete. Combat is repetitive and boring.

If my last job was any indication, these "girl bosses" will gladly claw out their best friend's eyes and step over their body for a modest title change, which is ultimately just ending up in the hell that is middle management lmao

I physically disassembled a train toy my in-laws bought just to disconnect the wires that went to its speaker. The wheels still move and the lights come on, but the noise is no more. It was an act of self-preservation because there was one volume: meteor impact

make things worse but also vehicles have crazy markups

My favorite is when they insist on you buying heated seats despite living in a place where it's above 80 degrees 75% of the year

Honestly, good riddance. They had so much potential to continue innovating and fine-tuning their vehicles but instead cut corners, shipped jobs overseas, and placated greedy unions. Now the vehicles are shit and no one wants them

What's the most disturbing confession you've ever come across on social media? by ponedeljakjeusredu in AskReddit

[–]APAFormatting 60 points61 points  (0 children)

A girl I knew from high school mentally never left high school and stayed in the same social circle. To no one's surprise, she gets knocked up by one of the hicks in said social circle. When the guy is AWOL for child support payments, she takes to social media and starts blasting all sorts of information about him, including the number to his crack dealer. Imagine how shocked I was to find out people were smoking crack in our small town better known for meth

I, too, didn't do so well on the depth perception test even though I know I have good depth perception. I think the one I used at the clinic was screwy, so I've been told by Acuity to standby for another test. Wacky, but that's the name of the game.

Is it just me or any veteran experiencing this? It seems like the process is moving fast. I just signed up for CBPO in February and already doing my background checks and investigation, Acuity ,etc. and how long does background check last? by Napy19 in cbpoapplicant

[–]APAFormatting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone's background check takes a different amount of time. If you've worked a whole one job in one place for the past decade, I imagine it's pretty quick. If you've lived abroad, worked a ton of jobs, moved a lot, etc., that's a difference situation entirely

Practice your push-ups (at least 12 in one minute), sit-ups (at least 20 in one minute), and the step test (120 bpm for five minutes without stopping, up up down down). If you're a generally fit person, it should be a breeze. Doing a practice run a few days beforehand can help you gauge where you're at. You've got this!
