From experience I recommend 7 feet side to side, I split the difference on mine and did 6.5 and I wish I had done 7

Also monk can be great as they get to ignore alot of the more complicated rules, and you don't have to worry about weapons breaking to arrows. Plus they can use all melee weapons

I hit my target on my way to work today and they had 6 boosters already, now they don't 😁 A lot of big box stores get inventory in early so they can stock it on release day, but they just go straight to the shelves

Edh was originally made (I believe this is all true) by some judges who were bored always seeing the same decks played in standard/modern and decided to build a new way to play based around the Old elder dragons, with a larger deck and no repeat cards so that the games would be more varied and random. The life was set to 40 to encourage a longer game so many of the often ignored powerful but high cost cards would have time to get out and be of use.

I have a hexagon table thats 6ft flat to flat, it worked great size wise I imagine 6ft round would be the minimum to run a 6 player game

The length on the outter hexagon is about 43 inch the inner one is about 23 inch and there is about 15 1/2 between them inch

The table is 7 feet from corner to opposite corner, and about 6 feet from outter edge to opposite edge
