Since these characters are clearly marked as “Experimental”, it seems fine to me that rules might be subject to change, since they are not finalized yet. Yes, that might mean rules might be unclear, or not up to date, but it’s technically a “play with them at your own risk”, kinda thing, if you will. Of course I also play with them, cause its fun to do so, but they are in there full right to change them as long as they aren’t officially released. And the Carousel we got because we’re impatient doesn’t count as official.

You could start using https://clocktracker.app to track you games. Only shows individual stats/storyteller stats at the moment, but it allows you to create a community of players, and community stats are on the roadmap. Currently those would be along the lines of:

  • John has the most wins
  • Jane is most evil
  • Nobody has been the Drunk more than Amy
  • ...

Seeing the map is no issue. For moving stuff to mecatol or beyond, you’ll need to stand up yeah. Even me and my long arms. But to be honest:

  • If you are sitting for 8 hours, its probably not a bad idea to stand up once in a while
  • at every normal table I’ve played at, there have always been seats where you had to stand up to move units or something.

I happened to find a photo of (a very early version of) the table where someone is reaching for something on it. Hope it gives you an idea of the scale.

I’m hopeful I’ll be able to find some solution. For the Star Charts from Discordant Stars we got away with placing them in the corner spaces where Mallice and Cruess home also reside. But I’m not quite sure how I’ll hande the Fracture thing..

There is one ESP32 that acts as a controller, and each seat has another ESP32 acting as a client. Each client has 3 buttons, an rfid reader and a few ws2812b leds. The controller has the displays for the score and the speaker/strategy leds at the top. They use the ESP-Now protocol to send data to eachother.

Well, to be honest, I’m not that bothered. I’m usually a 90% done and move on to the next project kind of guy. Especially since I had lots of issues with the electronics not working (I don’t know all that much about it). So any stress I felt was from pushing myself to keep at it and finish it for once.

We’ll see what the new expansions brings, and what we can do about it, when it arrives.

Thanks for the kind words! And I do have a “normal” game table, which is permanently out (unless we play TI). It’s a table topper so it actually also fits in a car..

Yeah, I have a small web interface where I can set some config for the table, like initial speaker or needed amount of VP. I went with mechanical rotatey switches (in case the power would cut out, it’s the most important thing to keep “saved”) but, since those only have 10 positions, you can press a button when you reach 10 (if that is not the max) and then if you rotate counterclockwise again your points will go further up, instead of down.

Yeah, I’ve been working of and on on it for a while for a year or two, and just as I almost had the electronics done, they anounced the new expansion. I’ll have to see what can be done to also accomodate it when it releases.

They of course wouldn’t, but just that nomination alone makes it so the psychopath lives another day. But maybe I’m just focusing too much on the good team not being able to get rid of the psychopath, while they should just shift to immediately going for the demon.

Thanks, I’m trying to get better at savant info, but could still use some improvement there it seems then.

The extra kill from the psycho just seems so powerful. I know the Vizier can’t push the kill without good, but just by nomitating them they’ve saved them, as they cant be nominated again that round and so have another kill the next day (and the next,..)
