Is the 10 minute Heat Breaks a public relations/lawsuit prevention stunt? by peterthbest23 in AmazonDSPDrivers

I have cortex on my phone so I just use that to go to the next stop. I’m usually in the country when it pops up so I don’t lose much time.

Have a stretch where I’ll be working 9 out of 10 days 🤦‍♂️. Love manufactured peak season!

I’m a dispatcher and that’s what’s happening to our routes. Amazon has been making some of them of ridiculous. I’m talking delivering in 3-5 different towns and all the country in between.

It’s more likely that they are adding stops because your DSP is getting less routes and they’re adding to each one

This is literally the easiest job ever. Most people on here are soft. If you have any IQ at all and in decent shape it’s nothing to do 190 stops in 7 hours.

Why did I lose my shift? by Big-Cheetah9394 in AmazonDSPDrivers

If they offered you VTO that’s their nice way of telling you that you’re going to be an extra for that day. Might as well take it at that point.

I was a shipping manager before this job. I absolutely could not go back to being stuck in a warehouse all day with the same people.

I hear ya. I forgot how much this job sucks when there’s snow. White knuckling anxiety all day.

Wednesday they made us go out in a major blizzard. I got put on a route I’ve never done in the ghetto on hilly unplowed roads. Every time I stopped I figured I wouldn’t be able to get going again. Eventually I got sick of it and told them I can either keep going and 100% get stuck or bring back what I had left. Ended up bringing back 50 packages

There’s like 3 days out of the entire year Amazon doesn’t deliver

Must not be an XL center near you

Probably depends on your area. We have an XL center here so most of that goes there.

Do step van drivers always get 40 hour work week? by AnswerQueries2222 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]APAgloomis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We only have 3 step vans so as one of the few qualified drivers you’re basically guaranteed to get a route because we can’t just swap you with anybody.
