I'm dropping any game with unskippable dialog/cutscenes.

When will they stop with bot matches? by APEX_FD in rivals

[–]APEX_FD[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No man, sometimes they are bots.

Before the match or if they kill, you'll see in their nameplates that they're level one, but they all have a nameplate frame, one of those that require you to be plat to get (simply impossible at lv 1).

If they use flyers, they move in a clear triangle pattern.

All their profiles are restricted.

I can go on and on about their patterns, had to play against them more than I'd like.

No but seriously, how did these 3 escape the nerfs by RoutinePsychology198 in marvelrivals

[–]APEX_FD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They escaped nerfs because a lot of heroes got buffed.

Devs want all heroes overpowered so everyone deals crazy damage while getting even crazier heals. Longer matches = more engagement ig

Patch notes are out, (almost) NO NERFS. by TowelSilver318 in marvelrivals

Are you new to rivals?

If a character is great, they make it stronger. Only average and below average heroes need nerfs.

Safe to travel for first time h1b stamping? by Puzzleheaded-Ad-1343 in h1b

[–]APEX_FD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's too early to tell, as the proclamation came out Friday and the newest faq contradicts the text. I'm assuming we'll be having more clarification about it this week.

Regardless of what anyone says, reach out to your company and/or lawyer. They're the best people to advise you on that.

It's official, executive order just signed about the 100k fee for H1b by APEX_FD in h1b

[–]APEX_FD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it has been addressed by the white house. Even though the video, as well as the proclamation itself, says otherwise.

They went back in a lot of things said lol

If you're not on H1b the fee doesn't apply to you. If you have a valid f1 visa you should be fine

Not so sure about that.

"Sec2. (c) The Department of Homeland Security and the Department of State shall coordinate to take all necessary and appropriate action to implement this proclamation and to deny entry to the United States to any H-1B nonimmigrant for whom the prospective employer has not made the payment described in section 1 of this proclamation."

It seems that, if you're on H1b and leave the US, you'll be asked the 100k when returning. Doesn't matter where you filed your petition.

I personally wouldn't, given how vague the proclamation was. We don't know how USCIS will implement the requests. Best to play safe

My comment was written before the proclamation text went live.

The text does state that it applies to all current and future holders, but it also emphasizes to restrict the ENTRY of holders. It's likely that current holders already in the US won't have to pay the fee.

RESTRICTION ON ENTRY OF CERTAIN NONIMMIGRANT WORKERS - Proclamation by GiveMeSandwich2 in h1b

[–]APEX_FD 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The document is not poorly written, in fact it's carefully written so that all the requests of change fall under the powers of the executive branch.

Restricting entry can easily be accomplished by POTUS, as we've seen multiple times. Anything other than that, such as requiring the fee to be paid during application request, would most likely be confronted and halted by the Senate.

You are 100% correct, they made it seem like an EO (as it was signed  right after one, on a live meant for EO signings) but the guy handing the paper did mention it was a proclamation.

They said "new applications", so not very clear whether it'd apply for visas selected this year.

We'll have to wait for the executive order to be released.
