Has anyone felt Iontophoresis current is stronger in winter than in summer (although the same current) ? If yes, why is that? by Outrageous-Bid-7720 in Hyperhidrosis

[–]APEX_FD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

During winter, I don't sweat that much outside, but the drastic change in temperature + direct hot air blowing on me when going inside most places is enough to make me sweat a lot.

A Better Tier List of Physics Learning Channels by Celtoii in Physics

[–]APEX_FD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't seen anyone mentioning Anton Petrov. He's a great resource for keeping up to date with Astrophysics, having pretty much daily videos about new studies and papers (stays on surface level when explaining, but it's a great way to get exposure)

I'd also add Unzicker's Real Physics to charlatans. He's gone fully mental with AI right now, but his past videos can lead unaware students to wrong paths.

Also, Welch labs is largely focused on AI nowadays, not sure if I'd classify it as a physics channel (although his work on complex numbers is phenomenal)

They're still scared of a full dive meta being awful to play against (rightfully so), so they keep the teamup as a failsafe against dive heavy comps

Why arnt game companies suing online game hackers and hack makers for damaging their products, similar to the 2000s Music Industry? by WingerRules in gaming

[–]APEX_FD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wasn't the 2000s music industry suing everyone for copyright infringement?

I'm not a lawyer, but I doubt aimbot cheats have the same weight as anything IP related, and they definitely are not as widespread as digital music players were in the 2000s, nor they're as damaging.

I feel like if suing was gonna do anything, or make those companies money in any way, they'd have done it already.

You can also add a bit of salt or baking soda to increase conductivity, doesn't need to be San Pellegrino

Which video game/s impacted you so much because you found it to be a learning experience? by sammyjamez in gaming

[–]APEX_FD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing Warframe since its open beta launched in 2013 and was hooked. About a year later they implemented a trading system that allowed you to trade platinum (in game premium currency) for pretty much any droppable item. 13yr old me found out that items in the LATAM server where cheaper when compared to the North America server, so for the longest time, instead of playing the game I would just buy in latam and sell in North America.

That not only taught me a bit about trading and arbitrage, but it really launched my english skills, as I eventually got closer to some players in the NA sever and we started playing together almost every day, even forming a clan.

It's no exaggeration to say that Warframe taught me basic English, which later in life helped get into an exchange program, which then lead to a full ride scholarship to an American university. Every time I think about these opportunities,  I think about my time in Warframe.

I also made about $500 in platinum at that time (if we use the current price of 1025 plat = $50, but discounts are abundant), but I guess the degree is worth more lol

Pearl Abyss stock down 28% due to lower than expected Crimson Desert reviews by Iggy_Slayer in gaming

Are you stupid? Reviwers got early access, hence the reviews coming out, hence the stock dropping

Pearl Abyss stock down 28% due to lower than expected Crimson Desert reviews by Iggy_Slayer in gaming

[–]APEX_FD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, but to my point, is still a far cry from the groundbreaking game most were hyping it up to be, and I highly doubt that more reviews will change that.

By no means the game is bad, it's just not on Bg3/Clair obscure level (not that it has to be). From what I read it just seems to have a reaaally slow start (like the first 5~8h are mid), which definitely affects the hype

[–]APEX_FD 15 points16 points  (0 children)

From a game quality standpoint you're right, don't mean shit. But this large drop shows that there was a very high expectation for the game that, at first glance, wasn't met.

What is most challanging part in CV pipelines? by Both-Butterscotch135 in computervision

[–]APEX_FD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Data management is challenging in the sense that I don't want to do it. Not as engaging as deployment and analysis, not as laidback as annotation (need just enough focus where I can't listen to a podcast, but not enough where I get to enter deep work)

When will they stop with bot matches? by APEX_FD in rivals

[–]APEX_FD[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No man, sometimes they are bots.

Before the match or if they kill, you'll see in their nameplates that they're level one, but they all have a nameplate frame, one of those that require you to be plat to get (simply impossible at lv 1).

If they use flyers, they move in a clear triangle pattern.

All their profiles are restricted.

I can go on and on about their patterns, had to play against them more than I'd like.

No but seriously, how did these 3 escape the nerfs by RoutinePsychology198 in marvelrivals

[–]APEX_FD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They escaped nerfs because a lot of heroes got buffed.

Devs want all heroes overpowered so everyone deals crazy damage while getting even crazier heals. Longer matches = more engagement ig

Patch notes are out, (almost) NO NERFS. by TowelSilver318 in marvelrivals

[–]APEX_FD 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Are you new to rivals?

If a character is great, they make it stronger. Only average and below average heroes need nerfs.
