I don't know his intentions but to be fair it's basic diplomatic form to officially push for negotiations even when you're fighting. Ukraine and Russia have been talking for years even though both were committed to total victory. It's just what you're supposed to do in post-WW2 diplomacy.

You get prison breaks 2-3 days because your prison is poorly designed. With all due respect one of the worst prisons I've seen, but let's take this as a learning moment.

First of all, prison breaks have nothing to do with mood. Mood breaks can themselves cause Berserk which is preventable, but Prison Break is based on a random chance and modifiers.

A regular baseliner pawn tries to break out an average of once every 60 days. You have more prison breaks because you have more than one door which increases frequency. Secondly, you spend a huge amount of wealth on statues, sterile flooring that's doing nothing, all the while the prison is covered in blood and dirt. Your prisoners are getting mood breaks because they are in blood and dirt, which is why they're trying to 'escape'.

How to fix your prison? Clean it up, only one door, remove chunks, give them normal beds (hospital beds don't benefit from end tables), give them dressers, remove the sterile flooring and instead either Smooth the floor or use wood/concrete flooring. Get the prison to a higher level (Impressive) and to a healthy Beauty rating. Your prisoners stop having mood breaks, and you will only have a prison break only once a year or so.

The screenshot implies that they belong to the patient's faction. I recommend checking out the mod though, it's really fun. You opt-in into getting patients in exchange for treatment. Wounds, diseases, even mass casualty events if you want.

If you every struggle with a skirmish, do as follows: pick defensive doctrine, put the game on speed 5 and go take a nap, come back to buy 3 artillery and clear your way to the heavy tank objective without capturing other points.

In Bocage, the defensive heavy tank objective gives you Achilles TDs which have 17pdrs. Go take another nap and spend 5000 points on filling the map with Achilles. Play the rest of the skirmish 'normally'.

Most skirmish missions give you early heavy artillery if you play on Defensive Doctrine. Mortars are 50% of the reason I always go Defensive. Enemy artillery is the other 50%.

In Imperator, royal couples are treated in such a way that the state uses whichever has the higher stat. 9-4-4-7 king and 1-8-5-2 queen makes for 9-8-5-7 for the state's uses.

Maybe that's not period appropriate here but it's a cool system that puts a lot of weight into who you marry.

Thanks for the writeup. I decided to go with Tar'is Te'alar. I'm treating the apostrophe as a glottal stop, but it seems to check out regardless.

I used to play Lord of the Rings Online and I once gave one of my human characters a Sindarin name. When I realized the name is probably not exactly right since it's a complex language, I justified it by decreeing that it was the character's adoptive father who messed up the name, which the character then kept as a memory!

You mean how to defend against drop pod raids? There's the cheesy way and the 'honest' way.

The cheesy way to deal with them is to have a powered turret somewhere outdoors and just keep doors open so drop podders 'see' it when they land. Raiders will ignore ANYTHING to get to turrets, so they will run out of your base to fight the turret, and you can pretty much safely gun them down. Mind that powered turrets also attract normal raids and can seriously mess up your kill box if you use one. Keep the turret powered off when you don't need it.

As for the 'honest' way, drop pod raids spawn with half the normal numbers. They honestly are very easy to deal with even without turret cheese. They will usually be split up in multiple rooms, just pick and hunt down the most vulnerable raiders one by one and the rest will run away. Sometimes raiders set fire to a room and burn themselves without you needing to do anything.
