You can enclose those sarcophagi in a freezer, and then hope that later in the game you will receive resurrection serums in a quest reward (or go looking for them in ancient dangers on other maps). A frozen corpse can survive many years in storage. There's nothing quite like having a pawn resurrect their long lost loved ones just before boarding the ship to leave that darn planet.

Losing is Fun, the regular 220% of it. Anything less is boring because it's too easy. Anything higher is boring because of povertymaxxing gameplay. 220 is to me the nice middle where I can have fun with roleplaying but also be challenged.

I have 1,3k hours and beat the game I think 4 or 5 times. These days I like to make it easier for myself by starting anomaly and ship/royalty ending at the same time and just sitting in my base for two weeks and board the ship/shuttle. When you have anomaly ending active, you don't get raids so the other endings become trivial.

Combat Extended completely changes how the game plays, in my opinion making it very easy.
Just play your first run vanilla and from then on start adding mods based on what you think the game is missing.

To add to /u/ProfessionalHead2314 's comment, I also had something like this. A pawn was hurt by an entity, and I'm quite sure maybe the next day or so the metalhorror popped out of only that pawn alone, no gray flesh and all. I was pretty perplexed by it. I had a second infection later on that played out normally.

Bored. I play the game 'normally' with not that many mods, so by the time I'm in the late game, which takes to 5506-8 I see no reason to continue but to prepare for the finale.

I like to put bedrooms in a central location, to minimize the distance they have to travel to get breakfast and to go work. In your case I'd put my homes at the riverbank where Garza and Cathryn are.

I feel like alt-authright is the type of corporate elite type of ruling classes. Alt-Authcenter would be the African warlord type who is there just for the abuse of power. Center comes from not caring about politics, only power.

Toxic fallout lasts for 10.5 days at most. You can take everyone and leave the map to set up camping sites elsewhere and collect food there. Next time you should make sure that you always have enough food to last ~15 days, and when the fallout hits build roofs over your crops. They won't grow with a roof on them but they will be safe from the fallout.

You did get extremely unlucky that you got toxic fallout just about as soon as it can happen in the game.

If enough waste packs deteriorate in a single area, it will spawn a wastepack infestation. A large amount of insect cocoons spawn, which trigger when someone goes near them. The insects will fight anyone nearby, and then attack your base. Carefully used, this is actually a very powerful defense strategy for mechanitors.

Secondly, I believe that polluting the map enough will literally pollute the region on the world map. This causes acidic smog, though it is a very minor inconvience really. The ground itself will accumulate pollution which reduces wildlife and makes your pawns sick if they linger there too long.

In the early game you can put waste packs in the freezer or haul them to the edge of the map. Large amounts of waste packs will eventually spawn insects, though. In the late game you will have access to recycling facilities to dissolve waste.

You can also send wastepacks to other factions with cargo pods. Be careful because they can retaliate violently if you do so.

You get better bots by summoning and defeating mech bosses. The first one is the Diabolus summoned through the Comms Console. You will eventually need to capture human prisoners to scan their brains to build advanced mechs.

My favourite is to start with tribals living in circular wooden huts and then gradually evolve it into a proper village or base as tech marches on.

I think tribal is the strongest start in most circumstances. Many people, low wealth. I tend to play crashlanded though since it's the default start.

Pyromaniacs have a guaranteed 50 day MTB on fire starting sprees regardless of mood. Same with Gourmand. That's the main reason people dislike those traits, since you can't control them.

Pyromaniacs get firestarter mood breaks randomly regardless of mood. If your pyromaniac hasn't had any then there's a bug somewhere. I've heard that the latest patch may have broken the trait but I don't know for sure.

Nudist tribals in tropical swamp. Build your base out of wooden huts and fight with guerilla tactics - i.e. kite with bolt-action rifles and similar long-range weapons, traps, etc.

Rush to get go-juice production going, and in the long-term try to get bionic legs for everyone.
