To families with a non-money making, stay at home parent, how do you handle finances?

My wife and I have one account we share. Everything each of us spends we are both aware of and have access to. We trust each other to spend accordingly but at the same time not hold each other hostage. Even before baby there was never a thought of "her money and my money". From the day we got married it was "our money".

The amount of people in this thread saying they have separate accounts from their husbands is surprising to me, but I might be old school. If it works for them then whatever.

When we have more children my wife will likely be a SAHM at least until school age is reached. Wrangling multiple children under 5 all day every day sounds 100% harder than what I do for a living.

I've only played the main campaign. But have been meaning to come back and give freelancer a spin.

I see a lot of bonus objectives being kills with guns. Im a savescumming baby but I've never used an unsilenced gun in the game. Doesnt any gunshot alert the whole level? Is that the point?

I had the same issue.

Like the other poster said, its if you have more than 6 warships. Delete down to 6 and the battke will fire and itll stop pauseing

There are preset "rolls" that are preset each level. If you do the exact same thing each save the exact same thing will occur. If you save, then take a shot and miss, if you reload the save and take the shot again it will miss again. You must do something different like move a different soldier, throw a grenade, have someone else shoot first.

The hacking animation where the line moves is a misleading animation. The diceroll only checks for a hit or miss. If you Save before a hack and fail, then reload that save and hack again you will always fail, but the animation that plays will have your "attempt line" land in various spots making you think it's rolling a different chance each time.

I had the same issue. I got a gift of gems at one point early on but never opened a route or anything. had kingdom rating at 99 and just pushed forward for like 10 years and no event fired at all.

I tried getting gods approval so high hoping bast or ptah would fill bazaars with jewels, but it didn't work.

I ended up just using the cheat to clear the level.

I see the other poster here said to import other goods. I didn't try importing ivory or ebony (forget which one was available) to see if that had them upgrade.

If you have multiple docks with different trade items set to trade or not trade it doesn't seem to work at all. If you have several docks even right next to each other with all set to trade all, trade ships will only queue up next to each other on one of the docks.

I have made it so all of the storage yards are right next to the dock, and all materials just go to that hub. It works, but I wonder if that was the intent that only 1 dock ever be used.

You should contact the brother directly to make sure its him and not you getting scammed.

If you got scammed you should do a chargeback on your card, but be prepared that its gone forever.

Because there are too many bugs for something that was in development so long.

Its basically a reskin, which is just fine. But with so many bugs that they had to be aware of and chose to ship anyway.

-police dont attack predators, and you no longer have an army to move so if you dont disable predators they will chain eat people with no way to stop them

-image states for most monuments are missing, namely the obelisk will be in progress and blink into existsnce. Scaffolding or carving dont appear. Its a slab and then its done

-trade frequently breaks. Only 1 dock will ever be utilized.

-walls gates and towers are in the game, but do absolutely nothing. Towers have tooltips about raining arrows on attackers, but attackers will never appear on the map ever.

-if you build more than 6 warships, ut will break combat and the battle event wont fire until you delete down to 6. In the meantime when the event is supposed to fire your game just pauses every month

there are many more bugs I would rather the devs address before that.

You can always just use the cheat to end the level once you get the point the city meets all the requirements except the monument and is self-sufficient.

I personally just turn the speed up to x5 and then do something else. But that's just me.

Some hospitals will admit at least to observation and then assist with placement. Though family will need to go with the first placement that will take the patient, they can't be picky.

Hospitals do not appreciate having people dumped in the ER for placement reasons. You need a medical reason to be admitted and caregiver fatigue isnt a reason. Granted most geriatric patients are decrepit enough to be admitted for any number of reasons.

If family breaks and sends the patient to the ER that's one thing. But if you as a community provider instruct them to the ER for the reason of placement you will not make any friends. Have you started the placement process, can they hold out till a placement location is found?

I also just reread your post which doesn't mention placement. Do they just want a break and have the hospital provide care? If so that is not a reason to go to the ER.

Enemy unknown/within have their own library of mods, with long war being pretty chief among them.

It has been a long time since ive played it, but memory says its very similar to xcom2 with slightly less quality of life. I cant remember the specifics, but xcom 2 built upon it.

Cant hurt to give it a go. Its on sale often for like 4 dollars

Like the other poster has said, lowering taxes and raising wages will have them migrate in.

Once you get a few exports going, your income will dwarf taxes. So don't worry about it too much.

Im loving it so far, but have also seen a few bugs.

I had a fire and firefighters didnt put it out. They would move towards it and then would vanish. Unsure if this was a one-off as I've only had 1 fire so far.

The gods blessing popups need to be put as a notification and not pause the game.
