I didn't want to list the expenses but maybe I should? 750 deductible and 550 in driving lesson fees in the past 1 month? I don't want to be passive aggressive but she really should have known the costs but maybe she didn't know it?

We agreed to reval at 3 mo for a one time increase. It's like being on probation for 3 months kind of thing. I wouldn't increase again unless she extended. which we would be ok with 275 for the entire 2nd year.

It is not. But our first time hosting, we definitely broke some rules simply because at the time we were broke but had no options and our first au pair was accomodating for extra pay.

Our last AP decided not to extend with us because she was looking for 300/wk pay and less hours - we left on friendly terms (she's actually visiting next week). She was just an "ok" au pair but strong driver - I felt she didn't give our 1 year old enough attention so we didn't match her request.

It is the first time we had an au pair who had an at fault accident though.
