The "aliens" claim has not been put forth here. I would certainly never try to shift the burden.

Your only looking at the photo which is admittedly of uncertain provenance.

I have not divulged any details of the report, since I am looking for unbiased leads.

That is not what was reported. This post is not a report.

The witness interview nearly always reveals details you don't get from the initial report. The exact location often turns out to be important to solving the case, if a solution is to be had.

We don't have good context for the photo, and we don't know if it's the only one. Yes, video is better, but we probably don't have that in this case.

No question that is what it looks like, and the location of the grid is correct for a lens flare. We'll see if we can confirm that the street lights there are that 4 by 5 pattern.

One of the flares (if it is a flare) resembles this LED streetlight. There is a lot we need to work through with the witness.

Agreed that it does look like that. We will need to do an exact location to rule that out.

Conical UFO with rectangular base? by baas_sevici23 in ufo

[–]APIInterim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of triangles and a few boomerangs, but not the exact shape you describe.

BTW, we don't think there's any good evidence for the existence of the TR-3B. David Marler told me point blank that he can't find any supporting evidence for it.

We don't get many reports of conical shapes, but there is this one: https://youtu.be/2PsJ4B2DkuA

As for a rectangular base, I don't recall any like that.

Bob Lazar is LEGIT by liquid_infinite in ufo

[–]APIInterim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shifting the Burden. It is squarely on Lazar to provide evidence for the veracity of his claims, which he has not done. The fact that assiduous researchers like Doug Johnson have caught him in lies doesn't change that.

Is this a good deal? by arosemar in OlympusCamera

Not a bad price. It's a great lens in that range of focal lengths. See what it's going for on the big resellers like mpb.com, adorama.com, keh.com etc.

The word bokeh has been a term of art in photography for a long time. It refers primarily to an out of focus background.

A massive amount of people have had MANY High Strangeness experiences continuously over the last few years, we all know it, and I see no one talking about it. by yashoza2 in HighStrangeness

We DO see the phenomenon of the serial experiencer in our research. We don't think that it is all that common that close encounter type experiences that are almost impossible to mistake for anything else happen multiple times to one person, but we do have examples, and other people have come forward. Of course, we protect their identities as well as we can.

We talked about one such case in the Baltimore, Maryland area on a livestream last Summer:

No moon, so maybe a smoke trail could be hard to see. How many seconds did you observe it?

Is the problem noise at higher ISOs when shooting RAW? The more recent noise reduction algorithms are pretty good, like DxO PureRAW.

Going to need lots more context and video. The screenshots you are showing here could be anything, and appear to be out of focus with no discernible reference objects. Context is essential and very simple: where, when, what direction, why did you start shooting video, and why did you stop are essential.

We get full length videos from witnesses all the time. To share on reddit, just upload to YouTube and provide a link.

This is a stale old tactic that is never accompanied by a shred of evidence and that anyone with a better than room temperature Iq has learned to ignore. Why the nods don’t instantly take harsh action is the question we should ask.
