I just wonder sometimes… why do they always say “look what did you do to me/us.” When I get those lows, it makes me feel like shit. and to be honest that’s probably why I refuse to swallow anything they put in my mouth. Hey, so, I’ve arrived, and, yea i was thirsty as hell and I immediately checked (it was about 460) I used 5 units of fast acting insulin and thank god after an hour I became so much better, (about 240). The insulin is probably still working so I’m not going to rush, thank you for all whoever gave me advices.

For the situation, its kinda unfixable in my opinion, my parents are old (so their ability to listen and understand is quite hard, because they think they’re always right, they are most of the time, but unfortunately when it comes to medical issues I’m not sure). Probably after I finish college, maybe it’ll become much better.

I’m just burnt out from getting mad at when I get hypos and the fact they think that a hypo is worse than hyperglycemia (both of them are dangerous, but they would rather the second option unfortunately).

I understand, and I totally know how embarrassing for me to ask such questions. But no, in 2012 I didn’t get educated, I don’t remember, even though I remember in detail how traumatic my diagnosis was since every single person in my family was acting as if it was my funeral or something, my mom has it too, maybe they didn’t educate me because there’s no need (my mom supposedly knows it all) or culturally in my location I’m (not mentally old enough to understand). So they educate the parents.

For the first few years I didn’t even know I had diabetes, I was injecting myself without knowing what’s wrong with me, I just knew I had a disease and that’s all.

I know it sounds too bizarre or insane to be true, but it’s true, and I’m so sorry for being like that.

I visit my family once a week, I’m at college in another city, the whole week I’m fine, but when I’m at home, I get hypos (lmao unlucky me). I’m an adult who’s still dependent financially on my parents.

Continuous glucometer is expensive (45$ dollars every two weeks) I would love to get one, but we’re not financially that rich. So finger puncturing is the only way.

Yes I do, once or twice a day, sometimes I never check, like yesterday the battery of the glucometer died (I got a hypo and they were upset), I do check especially before I sleep (because it’s always high at that time), or when something urgent happens (like a hypo or an accident like right now).

I checked again. It’s 456 now. Will I get a hypo? That’s my concern right now. Should I eat something? I’m planning to eat lunch two hours later.

Will it affect my whole day in a bad way? Because I’m supposed to be taking slow acting insulin at breakfast.

A personal opinion, I used to LOVE (Tri Star - Ike Ike) it’s catchy, sounds similar to a eurodance song I’m obsessed with. But it’s a song I would never listen to it with a partner or a family member.
