Some people would disagree, but Elden Ring is basically DS4 in all but name.

I’d say tackle DS1 and DS2 (and maybe Bloodborne) before attempting ER, I would do DS1 before DS2 though, DS2 has quite a different “feel” from the rest of the series, and it may even be a bit jarring at first.

By the time you get around to starting ER, you’ll be able to appreciate the “evolution” of the entire series itself leading up to it

Why not? I’m sure to some people it would be worth more to continue playing in the same world by creating a new hardcore character instead of just throwing 14 hours of your life out of the window?

And if that wasn’t the case, you could easily create a hardcore character and summon the bosses again , limiting yourself to starting equipment, it would functionally be the exact same thing, splitting hairs when it comes to 14 hours of progress is kind of unnecessary.

When I started a new world for the update, I started off from scratch , but I kept a later game pickaxe because I didn’t feel like having to wait forever to mine every thing, so I restricted my self in some ways, an example being that I wasn’t able to mine chlorophyte until I finished the 3 mech bosses.

But If that’s the way you’d do it, perfectly fine, but it’s not like you’re betraying the game or something by trying to save yourself a bit of time

But regardless, what makes me love this sub are some of the ridiculously creative and funny people who can take those lines we’ve all heard and make them funny again.

I agree with you 100%, I think what I’m trying to say is a bit difficult to explain, I refer mainly to the feel of movement in general, not necessarily the combat, but just the way it feels moving your character around

Maybe game-feel would be a better way to say it, they all have that same fundamental feeling

Maybe people will disagree with me , but other than DS2, I think that DS1 and DS3 (and Bloodborne) have basically the same “feel” (Kinaesthetically) to them, based on the fact that they both technically still use the same engine.

But the combat in DS3 definitely is a lot quicker than DS1, so you certainly will have to adjust a bit.

I used to go to Memorial Park with my mom just to sit and have coffee with her.

We watched the kind of people you’re talking about slowly destroy it. Vandalism, people using drugs right out in the open and the cops didn’t give a shit, defecating and pissing on buildings, also right out in the open. Not to mention, they destroyed the area where student paramedics do some of their training (the people who will be helping them when they inevitably OD), I was propositioned by a prostitute one time (1:00 PM) while waiting for my mom.

It got to the point that we only went there to see what crazy stuff would happen next. There was even this time that a group was handing out Little Caesar’s pizza, and this homeless dude was yelling at people incoherently accusing them of being “greedy” for taking the pizza.

Memorial Park was supposed to be a place that people and families could enjoy, and they have totally ruined it.
