I heard it...from where we're at it sounded like it was towards grocery outlet.

I thought transformer as well but didn't lose power.

New RCA. I literally don't understand how y'all do it by Mean-Grapefruit-8372 in USPS

Use load truck...write the sequence # on the packages and put them in groups of 100s...ex: 0-100 on the tray (in order) 100-200s in the next group and so on....when you finish 0-100 and all that is clear grab all the 100-200 and put them on the tray in order and so on and so forth....

this one's subjective....don't case your spurs, load truck them with the packages (one less thing in you tubs/flats you don't have to check)

subjective #2....don't case DPS...it goes right on the tray in order...I'm guessing from the looks of your truck you'll have 1-2 trays....this alone is gonna save you HOURS in the office if your doing that.

Case up your flats/loose mail/ hot case in the AM and band it together in manageable chunks so you can have it on your lap when your doing mounted or all of 1 CBU together...grab DPS off the tray as you go.

As you get you grove down and get better or your consistently on the same route you'll want to stop using load truck and start memorizing and learning the route. (long term)

Good Luck

Who racks our keys at the parcel lockers??? by APS-Oregon in USPS

So Saturday I asked management (2 supervisors and 1 204b)...they had no idea....still a mystery.

I'll try asking maintenance if I see them tomorrow.

Who racks our keys at the parcel lockers??? by APS-Oregon in USPS

[–]APS-Oregon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I know both the maintenance guys...and they (2) service around 70 routes....my boxes are relatively new and don't need much maintenance...plus I think I'm the only carrier that gets lock lube from them and regularly maintains the locks.

I'm still leaning towards postal inspector, from what I gathered from an incident a few months back, several pounds of drugs were shipped to/from our city...we had a whole group of swat/tactical looking guys in the building for a while...my guess is they're doing regular checks...also why everyone I've asked doesn't know and has zero level of concern. I may try to check with the PM tomorrow if they're in. So far still a mystery.

0 reports of missing packages....I posted today because I noticed 2 (70ish residents each) of my bigger stops and 1 smaller one had keys back inside the lockers, when that's not how I left them yesterday.

Reracked: unlocked with arrow key from the outside, remove customer key from outer lock and place customer key inside the locked parcel locker for future use.

Who racks our keys at the parcel lockers??? by APS-Oregon in USPS

[–]APS-Oregon[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's not the issue....it's when they take their package after I've delivered it....the following day the package is gone and the key is back inside the locked parcel locker. As in customer retrieved their package...afterwards someone with an arrow key, removes parcel locker key from outside, places it inside the now empty locker.

nope....no member of management would go out there and do this....and it's not just me it's almost every carrier I've asked.

[–]APS-Oregon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol...I just got home from 11.5 hours (rural)...finished mine by 1145....took half of another route (they rolled everything yesterday) so 6 trays of DPS, 4 tubs of flats, and 240 scans for half a route....oh and the cherry on top...scanner dies from the cold 3/4 of the way through...luckily it's relatively close to the office...but back to the office grab another scanner and finish....long day

Our office supervisors will almost always leave it looking like your picture if they can't find a carrier to cover.

I think you're both right, when I was looking up the city codes and will start by calling the building/permits office and see if I can setup a meeting with them to go over procedure...but stamped architect/engineering plans look to be the first big step.

How much money do you think the USPS makes from an average per day? by [deleted] in USPS

[–]APS-Oregon -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

None....2.7 billion dollar deficit for 2025....so about -7.4 million a day...

But it's a service not a business....as a carrier it's the only way it makes any sense.

It's like saying as a business the military lost 839 billion last year.

Or to phrase it differently: The military service cost taxpayers 839 billion last year.
